Tank-replacement contract suggestion
For the two types of tank replacement contracts (Restock and Upgrade), but especially Upgrade, it'd be really handy to have them list what kind of tanks they're replacing, not just the components to match.

You know what's being replaced because you can see on the country tab which tank company is down on numbers and usually has "shaken" written over it and when you click to offer your tank design you will be limited by what design they will accept, you won't be able to offer a different design if it wont match their criteria

Yeah, no. That first? Doesn't work once the contract is offered. And your second point (limited design offers) manages to entirely miss the point of what I'm asking for.

Some context: It's 1934, I've been in Era 3 for more than ten years with nothing left to research, and I'm getting contracts to "upgrade" my own top-of-the-line-but-marked-obsolete tanks. To the very same models. Which is something it'd be nice to know going in.

When you get a contract offered there is an outline on the contract window where you click to insert your design.

The outline has a description above it Vanguard/Heavy Fullisade/Exploitation tank etc. whatever type of tank written on the contract is the type they are looking to upgrade.

Now okay you say you've researched everything so that's probably some balance required.

And in future try starting with context before telling people they've missed your point. Context is key in all communication, try it in future.

Yes yes yes, I know about the outline thing, that is once again entirely irrelevant to what I'm asking. I want something that will answer the question, e.g., "Did I sell these guys the Tetrarch III or IV last time?" when the hull, running gear, and powerplant have only changed in version rather than type.

Well you should know which one you sold them, and it's easy to check, you go in to their tank inventory of what they are using and if it was the last contract you supplied it will be the last on their list.

It's not rocket science :-)

So your memory is perfect, and never needs refreshing. Good to know. Doesn't help the rest of us when, as I've said, the game drops all information on the battalion from the tanks list as soon as the contract is issued.

Well maybe you should make a note of it if your memory is too bad (you know your PC has a notepad function)

Because obviously I should expect to have to keep a spreadsheet of every contract I've fulfilled entirely separate from the game itself.... /s

At this point, you seem to have run out of anything to contribute besides sheer contrarianism. Good day.

No just need a little bit of intelligence nothing more, how you work around the problem you find with the game is down to how you apply that intelligence.

Remember this is not a finished game and you seem to be making a mountain out of a molehill as the saying goes.

Have a good day too.

PS Note Pad or Sticky Notes on your PC is very easy and effective unless you want to start an actual spreadsheet.
