Arms Trade Tycoon Tanks

Advice and Tricks
For the game now 7.Febuary 2025.

Do not invest any research into guns cause the british guns are ♥♥♥♥. Research the ammunition but not the guns, buy them from german developments instead.
Example: The best british machine gun of era 1 has a rating of 156 while the first german mg has a rating of 155 same with the cannons.

Best hulls are british, best tracks are american, best engines and turrets are french and best guns are german. This is accurate for the first two eras.
The first tank design is only good for two or 3 contracts so best start researching the armor upgrade from start on.

Building upgrades:
Build at start the administrative upgrade that gives you +1 building slot (lower right corner) and the production hall upgrade for more workers then fill the research slots for more engeineers and breakthrough. Leave out anything firepower related, reason see above.

Winning Contracts: You will in general win a contract if your tank has a higher rating than the other offered tanks, do not go below a rating of 300 cause most other tanks are rated somewhere between 200 and 300. Do not bid for too many contracts and make sure you can make the tanks you offered or you will pay a hefty fine that may bankrupt you.

Do not be shy to take up a bank loan if you are close to 0 money, cause bank loans require you to pay a fee for them and you cant pay it if you are in the red.

Bigger tanks have higher prices but also will take longer to build. If you achieve a tank rating of over 1000 you basically can set the delivery time, tanks to deliver and the price to maximum and still win the contract.

Get your hands on a copy of the german A7V as soon as possible and upgrade it with everything you have and research cause it will win lots of contracts and make you a lot of money in era 1 and at the start of era 2.

I am at the end of the research tree for era 2 and have 30 million credits on the bank so I figure I did something right.

I'm playing on hardest difficulty and so far I've made it to November 1919. I took a 1.5 Million loan on day one but set the repay period to maximum (5 years), This was necessary to provide capital (capital is a financial buffer for those periods with no contracts coming in.

On day 1 build admin counsel and bank department, these will reduce bank feels by 6%, next go to the materials sections and find a country with the highest level of all materials and buy ALL materials from that country, you don't even need a designed tank yet but you will need the materials to build as many tanks as you can.

After the first two buildings are complete build a fire station and a maintenance office then then move on to sub assembly and ergonomics at the factory

Design your first tank, as soon as it is designed, correct defects and start building as many as you can, also check the countries map regularly because you can often initiate a British contract weeks before the send you a contract.

First item to research on day 1 is RHA Armour, that way all available components other than the first hull and sponson will automatically be RHA, once RHA is researched engineer RHA Hull & RHA Sponson.

To win a tank contract you only need to beat what your competitor has submit bi 1 Point! Save the game just before bidding on a contract, pay to see the competitors score. Then load the game you just saved and beat the score by as close to it as you can but just higher than it.

Always try to build the maximum amount of tanks per contract at the highest price with the lowest amount of days per contract, just make sure you allow enough days to ship the tank at the cheapest cost (15 days at the beginning and add 5 days for the customer to think about the bid you made).

Don't buy another countries tank design unless it's a captured tank (far cheaper to reverse engineer this way) Upgrade your 105 HP engine by swapping out some parts for foreign ones when they become available

Odin Hulls make good Heavy Fullisade tanks and are cheaper and faster to build than your British Hulls are.

SAVE, SAVE, SAVE Often, and design and engineer new designs/parts often because this will improve your score for moving closer to the next tier.
