Arms Trade Tycoon Tanks

Arms Trade Tycoon Tanks

The computer is faster than me.
How is it possible that a computer has faster research? I can't keep up. In 1927 I only reached the second period. The 200 thousand point threshold is very difficult. I can't even produce and fulfill orders and therefore I can't collect points.
I try to use administrators, secondary buildings to have faster research and production. However, I can't keep up. The first three years it's relatively good, but then suddenly everyone starts to phase out older models, but my research is not able to cover the new ones, I'm just behind.

You know WW2 (ERA 3) started in 1939 right? so you expect to be doing ERA 3 research 12+ years early??

This isn't a rush through tech trees games it's a Tycoon game, meaning you actually have to think about what your are doing and make correct choices along the way. If for some reason you can't satisfy any contracts at all right now, look back at your previous choices and figure out where you went wrong.

One clue I will give you is "rushing" this game wont serve you.

If you reached tier 2 in 1927, then you were not selling enough. If you constantly produce and sell tanks you can reach tier easily by 1921.

But the thing is, my research and production can't keep up with the orders. I can't fulfill three contracts with just one assembly line. Plus, Britain will soon start getting rid of all the early types of tanks, and this is where I get behind on research and can't win the competition for the contract.

But for me, it's about the transition between the first era and the second era.
But the point here is that in 1927 no one is interested in economical tanks. The second era begins sometime in 1921 and I am 6 years behind. And I can't catch up.
Sometime since 1917 I can't keep up with research, production and orders.

in the achievement screen, hover on the icon on the right of the achievement bar to see a tooltip that tells you how many achievement points you earned from each category.

basically you need to make more juicy contracts (increase sell price as much as you can and sell max number of tanks or close).

you should be constantly producing tanks and selling them for as much as you can, this is how you get achievement points to reach next eras.

Wow, I didn't know that. Are you kidding me? What do you think I'm doing?
This isn't my first time playing the game, I've played it several times, I got to the second era much easier, with me actually getting contracts for the tanks and equipment I researched and being able to keep up.
It's just broken after the update.

A bunch of things to consider:
- Do you have an administator in research and the line maximating building attachment to get 35 researchers on line?
- Do you have an administrator in production and the attachment for getting the workers up to 450 workers total on the line?
- Do you have trade offices in countries that have a need for tanks of your types? If not, go get those. Britain alone is not enough work after a while.

If you are having too much trouble keeping up in 1917 that's a you problem, not a game problem

I guess it's not entirely my problem, as I started playing from Era 2 and got to Era 3 already in 1930.

Yes, I have all of this, because it's impossible to play otherwise. Unfortunately for me, research is still behind and I can't produce current vehicles. New insight, I started a new game from era 2 and I reached era 3 already in 1930, it's completely easy. But getting from era 1 to era 2 is hell.

Yeah, era 2 is too easy at the moment I feel.
The fastest I've managed to reach era 2 on executive difficulty was June 1922. But that was a nearly perfect run. The following criteria were element to achieve this:
-Never stop producing. Even if you don't have an active contract just keep building. Try to guess what the next contract might be and produce as fast as you can.
-Maximise the profit margins. Profits give you the most achievement points. Buy insights and don't produce tanks with low profit margins.
-Go foreign. Britains has the most tank designs in the game. That is to your detriment! They'll order many different types of tanks and switch them up quite often. Not allowing you to mass produce a single profitable tank. Look for nations that buy German or French tanks and mass produce fewer types for higher quantities of more profitable tanks.
-Efficiency is king!. Go for optimization in your design bureau and buy from africa and asia.
