PSA: I have compiled Tank role requirements list table.
As of the date of me posting this, the game has way to show you values outside the contract screen popup which means that a new player will struggle designing a tank for future client requests - he has to be reactive designer. Bit flawed design and a Dev commented today that they will address this but that will take time.
(Stopgap solution suggestion from me devs - add a table with all tank roles and their requirements to the in-game manual. It is at least something)

That motivated me to do what I have been asked to do months ago and spend some time compiling a list and updating my guide for basic gameplay with tank role requirements to alleviate this problem and inform the player..

The information is presented through a table (looks bit messy but steam formatting is what it is. An example:

Great, this is very helpful, thank you :steamthumbsup: I started a new run from Era 1 and noticed some 3x stats changed. What I found till now:

Saturation Tank:

Reliability: secondary weapon changed to structure
Repairability: scondary weapon changed to structure

If I find more, i will let you know. But unfortunatly, I dont have this much time play right now.

Clearly, I need to read all of this.

Breakthrough tank? Nope - all my tanks are -5000
Colonial tank? Nope -10000
Stopgap tank? Nope -40000

I'm able to keep afloat by doing supply work on the Tier 1 tanks I produced back in 1918-1920. But I'm in 1925 and haven't found any Tier 2 tech that any country wants.

Thanks added now to the list. With that I think the table (tables - there are two of them now due to steam length limit on sections) is complete.

Now if one is bit savy with MS Excel, LibreOffice Calc or perhaps even Google Sheets (not sure how well it does queries) one can copy paste the table and do queries on specific focus groups. Many tank roles share same requirements fits many tank roles). Obviously when you start the game, first two or even three years you don't have much choice but worth noting.

Might have happened that I missed to enter reliability weapon due to looking at wrong image or when I copied the table values (lot of tanks share the values so I just copy and past that tank with most likeness and then modify the differences). When I checked my own screenshot it showed Reliability instead of Protection too.

IF you want Breakthrough (BT) contract which is the best contract money wise you can get you need the heavy multi turret tank hull and track and turret. You need to customize the hull to match with the armor value that they need since BT contract armor is very important. You also need good hard firepower with kinetic pens, I forgot what was the important crew requirement is but pretty sure you can stack safety to like 50. With all that you will make an extra 100k per BT tank.
