I just did a playthrough on the highest difficulty without doing the test drive even once. No problems whatsoever.
Hi Andy1966uk2
Currently, the test drive is mainly a cosmetic feature that lets you see and drive your tanks, but it’s not required for the tycoon part of the game. You can skip it if you wish.
Hi Flashback
Currently we don't have plans to make it obligatory but we do want to flesh it out for those who enjoy driving/testing own tanks first-hand.
Next level prioritization
But then how will you know for yourself if your design performs as intended? I agree that it shouldn't be compulsory to do the test run but I think it's fine as it is and you can get a slight bonus if you complete the test and maybe in the future some negative points if you fail/aren't able to complete the test
Absolutely it's great to have a playable 3D element to the game I look forward to more content in this area
