Arms Trade Tycoon Tanks

Contract question please
If I ship half of an order but miss the overall deadline, do I not get paid for any of the tanks, even if some have shipped ? or do I just pay the penalty and the tanks are effectively lost (the ones I shipped) ? I tend to ship in batches to get under the quantity limit for some shippers, but rather than wait till whole order finished being manufactured, I tend to ship some so at least I think I will be paid for some... advise please thx

I could be wrong but I think you have to complete the order in full to get paid without penalty, don't complete the order in full then that's on you. Try to send all tanks together but I've had a couple of instances when I've part shipped most tanks first because of running low on materials to do the full order (I had materials inbound just hadn't received them yet) So I sent the remaining few tanks when I was able to complete the build but still shipped all tanks within deadline and no penalty

You definitely get paid for whatever you have shipped when the contract ends. After the date you have another 30 days when you will still get paid but each day penalties increase. If you click on cancel the contract it will give you a confirmation screen which displays what you will get paid in total if you cancel now. The penalties are really nasty but I had a few contracts that I had misjudged where I kept clicking on that every time I shipped off some more tanks to see the total still going up until it reached a peak and started to go down.

As for shipping all together or early, I usually ship off as soon as I have a few ready. There is no discount for bulk shipping, it's always the same price per tank depending on the shipping company you use, so there is no advantage to holding off unless you have multiple contracts due soon and it is going to lock off one of your shipping lines making one of them later than need be. Importantly it means you can use the cheaper slow shippers, and only spend on the expensive quick shippers for the last few tanks if you are pushing the deadline. It also means that I don;t need as much tank storage. There are also some contracts where the total tanks to deliver is greater than the max a shipping company can ship so you have to so it in multiple batches.
