Need 2nd Production Line
Lose too much business and get too many penalties later in the game with just one production line.

devs are communicating well enough, just not for the masses of the steam forums
Posting that teaser or an announcement here on steam as well is literally a matter of 2 minutes. You whiteknights are so ludicrous with your desire to oppose any critics you can find
i am not a white knight who wants to "oppose any critics [you] can find", i am someone who opposes the... less than stellar intelligence commonly found within the steam forums of games.

That's hilarious.

Players don't need dedicated trackers. Software devs need it. I just want some info about the progress and no detailed tracking system.

Let's see what my boss says when I tell him: "our customers have to use discord from now on, it's easier for me. Buck those blogs and newsletters".

The whole reason you make a game is to sell it because that's how you pay your employees. Do you think Kickstarter is the way you finance your project over the years?

In that regard the masses of the steam forum are the ones you are making a game for
if every game was made for the masses in the steam forums then modern gaming would be in absolute shambles lmao (no, not every game is made for the masses of steam/steam forums as a whole - something i am very thankful for)

also, why are you going on about any "detailed tracking system" or a "dedicated tracker"? if you want news about the game, join the discord. shrimple as.

I am hoping this game is successful and was "early bird" when kickstarter came out but there is no denying that if you want to push/sell a product, you can't rely on discord as sole communication channel (nor single communication channels in general whether it is steam forum, facebook, twitter/x, Instagram, whatever).

You want to sell a product, you need to generate traction (interest) and keep that interest and relying on discord only is kinda not it however you slice it.

OT:
There is a theory out there that you want to engage only with your most dedicated customers and ambassadors of your product in early phase of product development and reducing communication channels is one way of doing that but they are WAAY past that phase now.

And if they look at steam forums, see the lack of new threads and age of existing and think (meh, no point) - they really, really need to read some literature and documents Valve put out and other dev companies put out.

Exaggerated: No one develops a game for a bunch of nerds on a discord.
You have to sell your game otherwise no money. As easy as that.

But the money problem doesn't seems to exist for you :steamhappy:

Like Ziggurt said: the point you need to expand on other channels is way past.

Thx Ziggurt!

Indeed, we need to be more active in Steam forum. No doubt in that

i do agree that the devs should expand to other areas of the fanbase besides just the discord server, but until that becomes a regular, consistent occurrence, it's still best to redirect people towards the game's discord for news updates

Man what a wild ride this discussion was. But I gotta say, that "if I told my boss" passage was a pretty flimsy rebuttal. Firstly, it is much easier to use discord and most people have it so this works both ways and can be refuted with "Is it that hard to open discord to look at the updates?" and secondly, THEY ARE THE BOSS. They are literally the ones in charge here. As for me I love this game, even if its a bit bare, but its like the tank version of Ultimate admiral dreadnoughts and that is awesome.

Well, I feel they have many (good) news to tell. The updates have been on monthly/bi-monthly bases. They have posted images of multi-turret tanks. They have hinted on several mechanics in the game. From my perspective there is enough to write about... (and remove the roadmap which is no longer valid and will just cause people confusion)

@Ziggurt
As I mentioned before, you are right.
We'll try to keep to monthly "Dev. blog" practice after the update.

Most people in this community seem to be stuck in the picture that this game has to be a success because it's a unique genre mix.

Me too. Hoped for a good early access start. But that was a disappointment.
I do not buy a game in that state with that roadmap. I learned from KSP :D

I tried to follow the game but that's not pleasant. I don't have endless time to scrape discord servers to get some info.

Might have a look in a few years when the game is ready.

Ziggurt the only rational here

Thank you for your feedback, Zoeren, and sorry to hear that you got dissappointed by the EA and the subsequent updates.

You are most welcome to come back in a few years, if you chose to do so, and best of luck until than!
