also, why are you going on about any "detailed tracking system" or a "dedicated tracker"? if you want news about the game, join the discord. shrimple as.
I am hoping this game is successful and was "early bird" when kickstarter came out but there is no denying that if you want to push/sell a product, you can't rely on discord as sole communication channel (nor single communication channels in general whether it is steam forum, facebook, twitter/x, Instagram, whatever).
You want to sell a product, you need to generate traction (interest) and keep that interest and relying on discord only is kinda not it however you slice it.
OT:
There is a theory out there that you want to engage only with your most dedicated customers and ambassadors of your product in early phase of product development and reducing communication channels is one way of doing that but they are WAAY past that phase now.
And if they look at steam forums, see the lack of new threads and age of existing and think (meh, no point) - they really, really need to read some literature and documents Valve put out and other dev companies put out.
Exaggerated: No one develops a game for a bunch of nerds on a discord.
You have to sell your game otherwise no money. As easy as that.
But the money problem doesn't seems to exist for you
Like Ziggurt said: the point you need to expand on other channels is way past.
Thx Ziggurt!
Indeed, we need to be more active in Steam forum. No doubt in that
Well, I feel they have many (good) news to tell. The updates have been on monthly/bi-monthly bases. They have posted images of multi-turret tanks. They have hinted on several mechanics in the game. From my perspective there is enough to write about... (and remove the roadmap which is no longer valid and will just cause people confusion)
@Ziggurt
As I mentioned before, you are right.
We'll try to keep to monthly "Dev. blog" practice after the update.
Me too. Hoped for a good early access start. But that was a disappointment.
I do not buy a game in that state with that roadmap. I learned from KSP :D
I tried to follow the game but that's not pleasant. I don't have endless time to scrape discord servers to get some info.
Might have a look in a few years when the game is ready.
Ziggurt the only rational here
Thank you for your feedback, Zoeren, and sorry to hear that you got dissappointed by the EA and the subsequent updates.
You are most welcome to come back in a few years, if you chose to do so, and best of luck until than!
