At this pace it'll be around 2029
don't be so negative
Right.-
once again, no need to be so negative - this dev team is doing great work, just gotta give them time to cook
Maybe they should share what they are doing, if it's great work
I don't care what they are writing in any discord channel. Steam is the platform they sell the game.
What's so difficult about writing a small update that pops up in steam?
if you want to keep up-to-date as much as possible with the game, you're gonna have to join the discord
My point is: people ask when the next update will come. They look at their steam page. Nothing there. They get angry and ask in the forums.
In general you can do it that way. But people will get mad over time. Not communicating actively from the dev side will not make any it better.
I know that this is a problem in small teams. But communication is more important that fixing an additional bug this week
devs are communicating well enough, just not for the masses of the steam forums

Players don't need dedicated trackers. Software devs need it. I just want some info about the progress and no detailed tracking system.
Let's see what my boss says when I tell him: "our customers have to use discord from now on, it's easier for me. Buck those blogs and newsletters".
The whole reason you make a game is to sell it because that's how you pay your employees. Do you think Kickstarter is the way you finance your project over the years?
In that regard the masses of the steam forum are the ones you are making a game for
