True Tycoon Strategy?
So after beating my head against the wall trying to get off the ground on the high difficulty, I've found that nothing I've tried has got me very far.

I know that the first contract is always going to be for vanguard tanks (protection, hard power, repairability) and naturally sought to maximize these traits with the first couple researches. Come to find that none of them boost my stats enough to make the first contract viable. I can win it, sure, but only by selling at a loss which I obviously can't afford.

In another attempt I ignore the first contract and try to focus on the second, but it's much the same story. I can't make a tank good enough and cheap enough to actually make my money back.

By the time the 3rd contract shows up I'm basically bankrupt even if I decide to sit on my money, as the monthly costs chomp away at my initial cash and bank loan very quickly. So I've got to be doing something wrong.

Have you all had any luck getting your business off the ground in this mode? Any pointers are much appreciated.

go for mobility first.
my research pattern is female turret first (engineering a new male turret) , than get both better engine and the war horse. both of this give me the thing i need to win both first and second contract.

don't forget to add right away the egro upgrade in R&D , and Design otherwise you will miss the first contract.

Also i would suggest the upgrade the egro in the factory before the first contract but not a must. take the loan as late as you can to save the money.

from there upgrade the all first mobility (without the new petrol), than all firepower (without the new shell to go to the second part) and than finish the first part of the structure with bolt assembly.

design new Mark 1 Tank and try to buy as soon as you can the tropy with the new greude turret (that you can put on the whippet) and desgin the best whippet you can. this is the real money maker .

Thanks! Hadn't considered this, looking at it now it seems like mobility really is a power stat. Also didn't actually make the connection that the ergonomics office would speed things along as much as it does.

i tried this again with this patch, and oh boy this is freaking hard, i get 600 score on my first tank, and the competition is freaking 800! i had to preproduce the tanks (23 at a time) in order to sell them faster and get more money, but by contract 10 i am beginning to stabilize. (have more than 1 mill in the bank and with 40 tanks ) but i must say, if you get fire or something in the starting two years, boy that ♥♥♥♥ hurts
