Option to play without sherpas?

Does this exist anywhere that I can't find? The game was fun for the first few days while no one had them unlocked yet, but now i have one almost every game and i honestly find them quite distracting and annoying rather than helpful. I can find some people enjoying them, and i can see them helpful to some people, but being able to like. join groups specifically without them would be a nice setting imo. (づ￣ 3￣)づ

not only do they look boring to play as, like i said, i often find them incredibly annoying and distracting. im. trying really hard to not be negative or mean while saying these things, but especially with the extra cartoon y sound effects and the fireworks i often loose track of where i am or where im supposed to be going in a herd.

I hate them, they are a character designed to annoy everyone else while contributing absolutely nothing. Their constant fireworks and punching is actually the antithesis of fun.

Nah cause we need to unlock more characters in the Karma Pass to unlock the other Sherpas. Having unlocked the Panda the slap does actually give an extra jump to a player, similar to hiccups, so it's useful in some situations. You can also use the "more info" light halo to find secret passages as a ghost to help direct other players which is nice, especially with the omni-directional arrow you can use. And of course the ghost cards give extra utility. I will say the slap and firework sound effects are a bit louder then they need to be. Especially since you're able to spam fireworks with no cooldown it gets annoying fast. I hope all sherpas will use that power conservatively until they turn the volume down on that.

I fully agree. Sherpas (at least Panda ones that are available now) are extremely annoying.
To the point that if I see a sherpa in the lobby that's an insta quit for me.

I'm in the same boat, and even made a request in Discord a few days ago to lower the sound volume, movement speed and appearance size of the Sherpa.

On the other hand, karma farming players are praising Sherpas. I don't know the details, but it seems that Sherpas get the same amount of karma that other players get, and they make about 5 to 10 times more karma than normal runs with certain characters. In fact, I saw a screenshot of about 10-33k karma earned in one run without cheats.

I hope the devs will greatly adjust the annoyance and abilities of Sherpas, otherwise the public lobbies will be flooded with Sherpas and characters that specialize in farming. (DeepL)

I think the sherpas could be okay if they made them smaller, removed the slap and just made them generally less annoying.

omg really?? that makes me feel even worse about it tbh !! whats even the point of a game about kindness and working together when someone gets essentially a free ride and benefits more than everyone else?? :(

They're basically harmless. There is a funny feeling they create, though, that like, they're not doing any of the work but they're giving advice and getting the benefits, like a backseat driver. Like, you think you're better than me, sherpa? I'm here in the trenches collecting fruit and you're just floating around looking all smug! You didn't help me *bake* the bread!

But yeah, you gotta just put that aside and remind yourself that they're irrelevant at worst.

mobbu, I think you misunderstood. They don't benefit more than anyone else; they help everyone get more karma equally. (In theory; I haven't noticed that myself)

I have a screenshot of me earning 40k in one run.
Sadly, after the next run, my karma went down by about 39k again.
It was obviously bugged when you saw the animation.
People were spamming "please" and "stop" emotes. Beautiful!

Maybe Sherpas would be less terrible, if they didn't look and sound like they do.
I love pretty much everything in this game. All the characters are cute or funny or whatever, but the panda... i wish he would just stop appearing.

Who thought it would be fun to have a mean looking panda, overseeing the working slaves while cracking a whip? I don't wanna call him a cracker, but... you know...

I absolutely agree. If I'm in a public lobby and a Sherpa joins, I just go and find a new lobby if I can manage it. They don't fit in the art style of the game, which is only a minor annoyance, but they're so big and loud and annoying, and they don't do anything except for telling everyone what to do and smacking them (which takes away control of the actual player to make them jump for some reason???)

And maybe it's just the Panda we have right now, but it feels so condescending, like it's got an expression that it's so much better than everyone else. Honestly can't stand it.

I now try kicking the Sherpa. If the team is too dumb to kick him, just afk, the team is also too dumb to kick you!
