Uncharted 4: A thief's end, crashing in prologue
Game launches fine, everything works very well (100+ fps on all ultra), until the game suddenly crashes in the first chapter (Prologue), when Nate gets hit off the boat (always at this exact moment). I've tried everything, nothing has worked so far. Any help is much appreciated.

Same here, the system isn't the problem... I've literally tried everything i could find and nothing so far has worked.

however I finished the lost legacy without any problems

I have the same Problem here in A Thief's End. After about 5min the Game crashes and the PC needs a hard restart. Also the graphicsdriver(AMD) needs to be reinstalled after that.

Same problem, the game acts like its loading but then goes back to the main home screen.

I have the same exact problem. I've tried everything from every forum post, every crappy listicle, and every copy-and-paste troubleshooting guide. Brand spanking new high-spec pc, latest drivers, the whole deal. It's embarrassing that this hasn't been fixed in three months. Has anyone here fixed it?

For anyone looking, I managed to fix it by rolling back my drivers. It introduced a couple of graphical bugs in the prologue, but at least it let me play!

rolling back drivers is not an option this will cause other games to have issues fixing the game is the only solution its not our systems too many reporting the same crashing issue.

Anyone find a fix for this yet? Mine crashes as soon as it hits the main screen with the coin in the background. Screen goes black for about 10 seconds then back to desktop. I have a brand new top end PC. This is the only game I have encountered so far that has any issues.

Specs:

Windows 11 64 bit
ASRock Z790 Taichi, bios version 2.1
Intel Core i7 - 13700K 3.4GHz
2x32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5-5200
PNY NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 XLR8

I'm completely at a loss, only suggestions I've really seen involve loading an older driver, but the one suggested is too old for my GPU and unsupported.

I think you have a different Problem. As we all don't crash before the prologue.

I had the same crash in the prologue but finished it by simply starting the game again and loading the save. The progress was saved so I was a bit further after every next load. After four crashes and loads, I was able to reach chapter 1. Currently, I'm in chapter 7 and no crashes since the prologue.

I have exactly the same problem on Asus rog strix G15 advantage edition. Game crashes after Nathans boat is hit by another boat. Seems like the game is badly optimised for AMD graphics. Need to be fixed ASAP!!
