Get message that my PC does not meet specs....but it does

Just downloaded the game. When I boot it, I get a message that my PC does not meet the minimum specs, but Naughty Dog's own site says my rig and graphics card will work. Is there any way to boot the game and see if adjusting settings will allow the game to run??

I have the newest Nvidia drivers and my specs are: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600
CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz -RAM 16.0 GB GPU Nvidia 960 card

your cpu doesn't support avx 2... and its over a decade old

I'm sure it needs updating but I can run most any game with no issues - All Assassin's creed games, RDR2, MSFS flight sim 2020 and 98 other games on Steam.,,. Uncharted is the 1st one that won't run.

everything works "fine" until it doesn't. tons of recent releases have had avx requirements at launch

I got the game on Epic. Also, Naughty Dog's site states the an Nvidia GTX 960 and my CPU should run the game.

where exactly does it state your 2nd gen cpu can run the game?

The only thing we can hope for is a patch that will disable the AVX2 (like Cyberpunk and Dying Light 2) or just wait for someone to create a mod (or a guide) to fix it.

thats far from the only thing you could do. you could always upgrade that relic of a cpu

If you haven't noticed, electronics and GPU card prices are extremely high now.. There is no need to be insulting of my rig just because you can be.

This game requires AVX 2.0. Until this requirement doesn't get patched out you won't be able to play it.

you are blaming the economy for a decade old cpu? you had 8 years to upgrade, this isnt on the economy, this is on you

i know how you feel though in my case my CPU not enough as when i saw system req's said i I5 i thought it was fine but turns out i have a I5 3470 and the game needs an i5-4330 so i cant run it, its a shame but refund time i guess.

i will need to look harder next time before i buy a game though i know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about processors or what i should upgrade too.
