Cant jump over Obsticals during chase scene?

Anyone else run into this issue? Using a keyboard and mouse. so far during 2 scenes in Uncharted 4 when Nate is running at the camera and is supposed to jump over fallen pillars or fences, he refuses to do so. The first time I noticed this was Under Avery's House after Nate and Elana get caught in a net, they immediately have to run toward the camera and jump over wooden pillars that have fallen. Nate refuses to jump over these correctly and instead will run up to it and jump straight up and down instead of going over it. I was lucky enough to get past this part but now in chapter 20 when escaping the truck chasing after you, Im stuck trying to jump over the fence. Again Nate jumps straight up and down instead of over the fence. Has anyone experienced this and found a way to get past it?
