Newest NVidia Driver (526.47) makes the game crash after first 3 images again
The newest NVidia Driver does not fix any issues for me. Last stable driver version I could find and run the game on was 517.48. If you wanna play the game don't update to 526.47 if you have Win11 and an NVidia Pascal GPU.

I just tried these new drivers after updating them from 522.25. I have no apparent issues so far, just both the main game and DLC needing to redo the shader compilation as expected.
That means that your issues won't affect everyone and their could be more too it?

This issue only effects Pascal users. Ya, Nvidia doesn't care of people with 5 year graphic cards, they only care about the new ones.

The issue is happening to users on Pascal series and/or on Windows 11. It's either one of those two or a combination of both. Those points seems to be common ground for those who have crashes.

I've had the opportunity of trying a variety of computers I have access to and none of those with Ampere cards have crashed on startup (although there are reports of other types of crashes but I haven't had the time to experience them yet on other machines except the one with Pascal).

This new 526.47 driver was in development before the game was released (and likewise the 522.25 release was released several weeks before the actual game release) and Nvidia is still working a fix for these issues.

The 522.25 card was meant to add better, more up to date support for the games listed in their driver description, with intention of optimizing the DLSS profiles included in those games. I don't believe much care was had with anything else, and it's often rare that companies who are developing ports will have the opportunity of testing their games in all types of configurations.

There's a possibility they did not run Quality Control testing on Pascal cards internally after 522.25 was released. Either that, or they themselves screwed something up along the way right before release (which is why one of the community peeps has pointed out in this sub-forum that they are looking into it).

Either way, it's likely that a new patch will solve the issue sooner than nvidia's driver will hotfix it.
Mainly because the game starts up correctly with previous drivers but is still prone to crashes during gameplay.
Thanks guys, good to know!

LOL!

The "last stable driver" is 522.25 works for me as well. And I have Pascal videocard Asus GTX 1070.
However, you conclusions are wrong.

Do you have Win10 or 11? Cause 522.25 doesn't work for me on Win11, also with a 1070

I have Win 10 Home 21H2 build 19044.2003
Mine started crashing after the update last week and after today the crashing starts before I even get to the menu, really wish they would fix this
The new Driver as well as windows 11 are fine. OP is having a segregated problem.

How do you expect them to fix an issue that only you are reporting? I've had 2 crashes, but both reloaded fine from checkpoints - it does crash, but not always.

Same here with me. I'm so tired of this. I just wanted to play the freaking game.

Game works fine in 517.48 driver version but random crashes happening after Chapter 2. Unplayable anyway.

The issues there are also on Ada Gpus. I own a Msi Suprim x 4090 paired with a 12900k. In my opinion the fault is of the Nvidia Driver 522.25 and 526.48.

Flashing lights on the screen are available also on the newest Call of Duty Modern Warfare game.

Could be a Windows 11 22H2 issue, but there are several gamers who use it

Are you running win 10 or win 11, because win 11 has a bunch of problems atm, try setting uncharted.exe compatibility to win 7/8, disable VBS too if you are in win 11.
Please stop spreading this misinformed BS. Win 11 is fine and has been for months, I run this game and everything else with zero issues since i switched over.
Zero issues, W11 22H2.
If anyone is interested, I found the last stable driver (runs in all games without problems) was 516.59.
If you know of a newer stable driver please let me know.

The only problems I have with win 11 and games is that sometimes on first boot of a game it will crash at launch, but after that first crash it runs fine. I have no idea why it does this.
Yup, Same here. Just like the Oct 12th NVIDIA driver, the current one crashes the game. Going back to 517.48 I guess...
People, disable Gpu Hardware Scheduling on Windows 11, and the game will not crash with the last driver with Pascal.
