CPU not supported - FX9590

I have the following specs:

AMD FX9590
GTX 1070
16GB RAM
Gigabyte 990FAX-UD3

when I try to launch it, it tells me that the processor is not supported and does not meet the minimum requirements...

It not lying to you, you need a new CPU/MB/RAM.

The motherboard and RAM have nothing to do with it. The problem is most likely the lack of AVX2 instructions.

I can play RDR2, Cyberpunk, Tomb Raider and Battlefield at for me acceptable performance. Is Uncharted really that demanding?

If the game requires the processor to have AVX2 support, there's nothing you can do about it - AVX2 is not a software solution, it's hardware.

Getting the same message with the FX 8350 too. First time that I ever see this happening between all games that I've played, a bummer. Hope that there's a fix

Would you like to show me what CPU would slot into his current motherboard that will have needed instructions, and support DDR3 RAM?

First - I'm not saying that the problem is the lack of AVX2, I'm just suggesting that it is. And second - tell me the model of your motherboard.

I played all of the ports that Sony brought to Steam so far without any problems. And now you're telling me my CPU can't run this game? Are you kidding me? I would have expected everything, but not that.

I have an I7 3770 and also got the message, first time i have ever had a game not work because my CPU was too old... there's no way that my cpu can't run this game, it runs Assassins Creed Odyssey which is a more recent more demanding cpu heavy game.

Mb model doesn't matter the 9590 is the top end of the FX line and there is nothing better. It's still 40% behind the first gen r3 1200 in IPC.

The FX chips I understand but you're 4% off the recommended 4770.
