Rope swing from truck, how not to slam into boat?

When crossing the bridge while haning from the rope attached to the truck, how do I avoid to slam into the boat? I am on keyboard and it seems that I only can swing left and right but while I can somehow dodge the center of the scaffolding, I cannot doge the boat coming next at all. Any idea what I should do? It does not seem as if I am able to climb up the rope with any key presses...

You should be able to climb. I did it on first try and playing on m&k. As soon you are hooked up, start climbing.

By now I was so confused I was not really sure anymore what keys I need to press to climb the rope even.

Q-W was the right combination and it worked now.

I'm having this very same problem, but can NOT climb rope after dodging scaffold. Using Q and W... and tried many times.

OK, found out how. Simply hold down Q and W together. I had been holding Q and mashing W. Lesson learned!!

Had the same issue with mouse and keyboard: You need to hold the key for the "Rope" AND "Climb up" or "climb down" at the same time. Doesn't realy makes sense still you already hang on the damn rope but it works ;-)

How do I swing after repelling down, I can't swing while holding down Q but as soon as I let Q go, he let's go of the rope.

How long is this chase anyway? Game crashes every time there and I want to know when it will be over. It's a frustrating thing
