Can I play this as an introduction to uncharted?

I love this type of game but I don't care for playstations. Can you just pick this up and play or do you need to have played the original games? Any sign of the original games coming to PC?

the story stands on its own just fine.now the port is a different story some say it runs well
but for me and others(seems like the port doesnt like newer hardware)the dev team keeps
breaking the game.they just broke it again im now crashing again on a 9900k and a 3090

Each Uncharted game is a standalone adventure. Sure, there are easter eggs or throwback items from the previous games, but there's no particular detail from the previous games that is integral for the story in Uncharted 4 (A Thief's End) or its "spin-off", The Lost Legacy.

If you've played the previous games, then you'll be familiar with the supporting characters. But they don't necessarily call upon their past in such a way that you'd feel left out if you're a newcomer to the series. As mentioned earlier, each Uncharted game is a standalone adventure, so you won't feel left out of the loop for not playing earlier games, don't worry about it.
