why no full screen option?
i can only choose "windowed screen" and "borderless windowed screen"? as far as i know,
going full screen frees some of allocated resources so gives the best performance

Because there's no such thing as fullscreen in DX12. It's called flipmodel if enabled for DX12. Only DX11 and below needed Exclusive Fullscreen due to how bad the API was at handling resources, DX12 doesn't have that issue.

Alt-tabbing out of game then back in behaves much nicer in borderless windowed mode. The good thing about PC is the ability to multi-task.

well what a PITA compared to DX11 then because to run at a lower resolution on a higher resolution monitor you then have to resize the whole freaking desktop just for this game.

No, you don't.

The game has separate options for display and render resolution. As well as both FSR and DLSS.
