Corrupted save

Never happened to me after the two patches they released so far, but if you delete your saves then you will automatically get a working copy of those saves stored in the cloud unless they got corrupted while playing with the new patch. Give it a try.

Completely removing the save files from the directory doesn't help, the cloud save file must be corrupted as well.

The First time this happened it fixed itself I have no idea how, I just remember verifying the local files and it magically fixed but that's not having any effect this time round.

I had the same issue and maybe found something which helps you, all my saves where corrupted, deleted save folder etc, synced again and same issue. Tried a new game and it kept saying make sure your game has access to your save game folder, odd I thought, gave "everyone" permission, no joy..... then I spotted that my AV blocked a suspicious action by U4.exe , exluded u4.exe from my AV and tada saves are working now. Most likely because my AV set exclusion on install but not for the new version, maybe that helps you as well, good luck

Mate, DM me your address so I can send you a carton! Spot on, your solution fixed it. I also got that msg in game about making sure your game has access to the save folder.

Antivirus, my software blocked something U4.exe tried to do, exluded it from being scanned and it worked for me after that

On my side I had this issue again (like after the first patch) and only re-installing the game made it. So kind of not the best solution to dl again the game but at least my saves were safe and I didn't had to do the game all over again.

Re-downloading it probably made the exception in your AV automatically which is why it worked. Might have been easier to have a look at your AV history report I reckon you would have found the entry reporting 'suspicious activity' from the game's exe file and then just add it to the exclusion list.

Mines not an av issue nothing to show its stopping anything suspicious guess i just lost my game for no reason
