Also Avery's passage dropped my fps into the 40s regularly, but this seemed to be an issue with dynamic shadow rendering not being optimized.
Turning off DLSS in those situation improved my fps at least, so we shall see.
well either uninstall clean the Nvidia drivers through DDU and install them without GeForce Experince or do a clean install of the OS, fps bugs were reported when 22H2 launched with regard to Nvidia drivers. I'm lucky I have zero issues on W11 22H2 with Nvidia GPU, but then again I did a clean install of the OS.
1. Disable your XMP profile if you have it on. Fps hiccups are likely a RAM issue. Test it with XMP off / test with other RAM sticks if you have.
2. If you play with overlays, disable all overlays: Steam Control Panel, Xbox Game Bar, Nvidia GeForce if you have it, etc.
3. Sometimes people have Windows slideshow on the background on. Make sure it is off.
Other than that you can't really do anything
So stop spreading generic non-advice, it's useless.
It is not unlikely because I have experienced it and it was the RAM, so I think you're not quite sure about what you're stating. OP is saying he's having fps drops, not low fps. You're the one that is misunderstanding. I had the same problem and it was because my XMP profile was enabled, and since I switched the RAM to a better one with the minimum required speeds for my CPU the stutters / fps hiccups disappeared. So please do a google search on tech forums or something...
Are you capped at 60fps? Ultra settings? What resolution?
That scene doesn’t really push hardware does it? I’d like to see your performance on the part that gives my rig a hard time. Driving the jeep up the river with all the falls towards New Devon.
Sorry I meant the jeep part from later in the game in the jungle when Elena is with Nate. Driving up the river towards the giant wooden elevator that leads to New Devon. This is the part that gives my pc the hardest time. Going from about 130 down to 60-70 fps at times. Your pc is similar to mine and you say you have no issues at all which is why I’m so curious how yours runs that part.
