Quote: "Now, you may be wondering why we didn't start with the original Uncharted. We felt that, while Nathan Drake's first three adventures from the PlayStation 3 console still stand the test of time narratively, they would require a major overhaul visually to stand-up to modern PC releases and the expectations players may have," Naughty Dog said on the PlayStation Blog.

So I guess its over then. They are not coming to Steam/PC, and Uncharted 4 and 5 are all we are ever going to get from the Uncharted series? They only one I would love to see would be Uncharted 2. 4 and 5 have vibes to the older ones. 3rd one kind of sucks.

You can play those and more exclusive titles on "PS NOW" on your PC (I know PS NOW is such a confusing name.). Or buy a used PS4, the seller will probably even give you all his uncharted collection discs for free.

I started replaying the remastered version of the first part on the PS4 and I stopped after 5 or 6 chapters. Like they stated above, the narrative is well done but controls are extremely clumsy considering today's standards and gameplay needs an overhaul as well. Just remastering it again for pc just wouldn't do it.

the only way i see them coming to pc is if they decide to remaster them for the ps5 and then port to pc

I love how their no. 1 concern is that it won't stand up to time, and yet they decided to remake Last of Us, when it simply didn't need it. UC1 could have easily warranted for the remake. This is just some lazy answer, I would play Uncharted 1-3, in any state. I played the PS4 remasters, and I thought they were good, perf wise. I don't care for graphics all that much, but it is icing on the cake to an already good looking game.

I hope low key its on their to do list, like they will release all the new games first that are easy to port/were made on PC and then they will remake/remaster the old games like they did with Crash Bandicoot /Spyro. Get the easy money first so they have money to use to remake the old ones. Idk. I hope they do.

I can sorta see what ND are doing here:
1. The Last of Us TV show on HBO has recently begun its marketing campaign, no better time to double down with a remake of the actual game and garner all the hype from the very casual gamers/non-gamers for one big advertisement push in the entertainment sector
2. TLOS Part 1 is still technically one game ,which is a far safer financial investment for ND than 3 full games of Uncharted especially after the Uncharted movie has a mediocre reception

I think Sony still have unannounced plans to properly remake or remaster Uncharted 1-3 for PS5 before creating a PC port. It'll depend on the reception and sales of U4 on PC in the coming months.

Too bad they didn’t remaster Uncharted 1-3 for PC when the Uncharted movie came out in theaters. That might have drummed up some mainstream hype for the game’s release. They definitely just did the easiest port job.

They still look and play good. This is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I can't stand this new trend of wanting to "REMAKE FROM THE GROUNDUP§§§§" everything.

so basically they are too lazy to do it

Another vote for they still look and play amazingly. Modern Sony under Jim won't re-release anything they percieve as old though. I think that's a big reason we are still waiting for Bloodborne.

Bloodborne is also hard coded to be locked at 30 fps. If you try to run it at 60 fps it goes nuts. When they ported over this game they ended up just copy and pasting The last of us assets into the same engine without fixing any of the engine problems.

Still no news on the initial trilogy making its way onto Steam? I don't really wanna play Uncharted 4 before going through the stories of its predecessors...

This is something I would never understand.

If they decide to release some previously console exclusive game on PC, why do they always skip all the previous entries from the series? Especially since they were remastered.

I mean, it's not just Uncharted, it's every AAA video game series that was previously console exclusive.

The original trilogy was what sold me to the PS3. I got uncharted 1 with the machine. I still remember the detail and sharpness and thinking, wow! The story was hilarious, right out of Indiana jones. Then I got 2 and then 3 (which was in 3D) it never grew old either, always a hoot with the one-liners. I never played 4 ( I never got any console after the PS3 and kept gaming on the PC for over 34 Years) until I got it on GoG and while it captures some of the magic, it shows its age now. - yeah they are older, but then so am I ;)

I still prefer firing up the original 3. Just like The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls. Away ahead of their time

I recently got to watch the Uncharted movie, and damn I wish I could have played these games before.
I however never had PS3/4 and not sure whether I should ever get PS5.
