Is there an AVX requirement for this game or not?

We need an answer from the developers. If yes, why is this not mentioned on the store page? There must be a reason for the "CPU not supported" error.

i7 4930K is a gaming CPU but it doesn't support AVX 2.0. You were saying anything older than i5 4330 won't do, but G4560 is newer. Nothing to do with the age of the CPU.

By the way, i can't find i5 4330 for desktop PC's, only for laptops. Is this information even correct?

The thing is that you CAN'T start the game with the AVX 2.0 requirement. Without it, you would be able to run it. Doesn't matter if your CPU meets the minimum requirements or not.

It's listed here ..lol https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Vector_Extensions google knows all, people need to understand that the consoles, BOTH of the consoles, PS4/PS5, XBOX One and XBOX Series S and X all have AVX because of the obvious performance benefits if you read the documentation on it, why would they take it out of this game? ..performance will probably drop..

I have a 7700X and it supports AVX 512 and im getting some nutty FPS fully maxed out (100-150ish) and plays extremely smooth and there is a lot going on in the game, more games should have AVX honestly.

Of course it has to do with age and technology used. AVX2 is supported by all modern CPUs.

i7 4930k is based on older tech than i5 4330k (ivy bridge Vs haswell). It's very simple. Why would you think it's reasonable for the game or developers to explicitly list all older CPUs that are not supported rather than just listing minimum requirements that clearly convey what is supported or not.

Pentium and Celeron are not gaming CPUs so mentioning them is pointless.

Lol that doesn't change anything about the minimum requirements. If you are happy running the game with such piss poor performance you may have found a workaround for that. But it obviously doesn't meet developers minimum playability requirements and therefore doesn't change their listed minimum requirements.

NO there is NOTHING clearly! The requirements are approximate guidelines for most games! If a game mentions an RTX2070 8GB in its mentioned requirements, that doesn't mean that I can only play or launch the game with an RTX2070 8GB! Most of the current games recommend an 8GB graphics card, and I still play these games with my RTX 2060 6GB without any problems.
The same goes for a processor. I play all current games with my old Intel I7. Although most games recommend a newer processor! There are many different processors that I can play current last gen games with, and Uncharted is the very first where you actually have to have EXACTLY the specified processor for minimum. And THAT is NOT clearly formulated!!!

Its NOT clear it is not CLEARLY stated that this game will start and be playable only WITH THIS processor. A Plague Tale Requiem has higher processor AND graphics card requirements and I'm playing it on high graphics settings with my old Intel I7 and an RTX 2060 6GB! Uncharted is just bad optimized for the PC. Thats it.

What do you mean "gaming CPU"? Why is i5-4330 a gaming CPU and G4560 don't? They are almost same: 2 cores, 4 threads, same clock speed. In fact, G4560 is slightly faster, due the higher ram speed and more memory bandwidth.

Ghost Wire Tokyo needs this for min, CORE I7 4770K @ 3.5GHZ OR AMD RYZEN 5 2600 and i run it with fx 8300 and it runs fine for me , and ryzen 5 2600 has avx2, but i guess this game does not use it, and on the store page for atomic heart, list this
AMD Ryzen 5 1600@ 3. GHz or Intel Core i5-4460 @ 3.1 GHz (AVX, AVX2 and SSE 4.2 support required) so they can post that is needs avx2 support on the store page,
it would not hurt
