Can you bypass AVX Requeirement?

Hi, I know that we who have older CPUs can't play this game, but my CPU ran the newest games at 100+fps on Ultra settings with my CPU, it doesn't support AVX or AVX2, does anyone know how to bypass it, maybe some commandline in launch options?

Absolutely. I found a GREAT HACK that completely solved this issue for me in all games. First I went to amazon ordered a ryzen 5600x and when I got at I installed it and Voila. Works great now.

From what it looks like game was designed around requiring AVX2. Using AVX2 improves improves cpu performance substantially at the expensive of dropping support for older hardware. Expect it to become a requirement for many new games.

I really wonder to myself, why do people have to react in a toxic manner, rather than just answering the question that was asked? This person is not hurting any of you with their processor, they just asked if there was a way round it. How about people touch some grass rather than lash out at a complete stranger asking a question??

Requiring AVX2 has little to do with graphics and is more about squeezing every bit of performance out of a cpu. AVX2 more or less provides a free 10-15% boost in cpu performance at the expense of dropping older hardware.

It Ain't About Performance or quality My friend we need Avx2 cpu fix for older cpus so that all gamers can enjoy this game easily, Naughty dogs should release a patch or fix for old cpus it's not fair buddy many other games were also fixed or patched up due to this issue I hope a patch or fix releases soon so that everyone can be happy

what new features do these games have that warrant this AVX garbage? I have a 12700k cpu and its not even that great, if i hit my head and was told i upgraded my 6700k i wouldnt have even have noticed. Theres no performance difference. All games still stutter and lag in all the same places.

Also, im not finding this game very impressive. In fact its pretty generic and chummy of a title. And the blur makes it look bad.

SO yeah im kinda with the OP. Why cant this game run on non-AVX cpus? What does it do so great again?

They could re-work the game to not need it but then people with new CPUs would complain about lower performance. As time goes on i would expect AVX2 requirement for new games to become the norm as it is more or less a free performance boost.

The whole SSSE3, SSE4.1/4.2, AVX and AVX2 is a scam to force you to upgrade. Why can't I play on my Q6600, 4GB DDR1 and HD4670 AGP? Or my monster PC with Phenom II x6 1605T and HD5770 CrossFire?

I Don't think so Buddy because Recently a Plague Tale Requiem Was Released and Many People with an i5 3rd gen or i7 3rd gen or any xeon processors which don't have Avx2 support are completely enjoying the game with good frame rates so yeah good Luck on your theory Buddy And For the Last Time we need a patch or a fix for Avx2 because its ridiculous
