Well, it's clearly not a 100% fix if it doesn't work for everybody. Also, he did a bunch of things at once and now nobody knows which of these is the actual fix. If it is at all. Might even be pure coincidence (could be that the game just worked after the xth try, and none of this was needed).
Yeah, after first installing the game the alt+enter worked for me to get past the loading images. But then after the chapter 15 crashes it never worked again. I just installed the older gtx 1080 driver and game is running better than ever. Shaders were able to build a lot faster than before too.
I have the exact same issue as you where it crashes after Nate tries to pickpocket the waiter for the third time. It also crashed on me during the cutscene where Sam meets back up with Nate but it only happened one time. i7-6700K, GTX 1080 Ti (Driver version: 522.25), 16 GB RAM, Windows 10. Starting the game in safe mode, disabling iCUE keyboard integration, and putting the graphics settings on low all failed to prevent it from crashing. Any help with fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
2.4 hours. I may still be able to get a refund.
This crash happened in the prison breakout when you play as Sam.
i7-12700k, RTX 3080 12GB. Windows 11 22H2.
Game is running great besides that.
