Hitman WoA Standard Edition: How to switch to VR mode?

I have the Standard Edition of Hitman WoA on Steam and can't find a way to switch to VR mode. When I try to buy WoA once more, it tells me that I already have it and that VR is support. The Hitman 3 VR pack which is mentioned a couple of times in this discussion board isn't available anymore. So what am I missing?

you're thinking of the original PS1 port.
many are getting confused by the new PS5 drop, but its not being handled by IOI, entirely different company. and its sadly NOT coming to steam.
its quest/meta exclusive.

you'll first need to launch the game in desktop mode with vr enabled/on through steam.
once you load up the game, it will ask you if you'd like to switch to VR.

be warned it is EXTREMELY buggy, out dated and not getting any fixes soon.
so what you play with, what you see, and what you experience is what you get from here on out lmao

Edit: sadly there's no way to keep vr enabled, you have to launch through the game, main menu, and then vr.

I had VR enabled via Steam. Started the game, but wasn't asked to switch modes. All I could do was play the game in theater mode, but even then the VR controllers didn't work as expected, as the game apparently saw them as a mouse or whatever. When I move my hand, it's like looking around with a mouse or controller, just at an incredibly high sensitivity, such that the whole picture is spinning around the character.
