Why so expensive?
Why is the game so expensive and why are they trying to sell the game in parts?

It's not, buy it on sale, it's a great deal.

Money and to make people pay for the upgrade later when its off sale or not get a good deal by buying them in a collection.
I wish I were able to complain about the extra content prices again. Instead I come back here thirsty for more, hoping they will sell me more pieces of the game. If you think you are going to get it for 3 dollars, you will be disappointed. Some of the cosmetics you don't want automatically come up in the roll on freelancer mode if you buy them, so maybe some want the choice of opting out. I personally don't like the scrap dlc. Thankfully there isn't a version of the game sold that automatically puts stupid looking scrap "street art" weapons in the roll. This is my comfort game, but I am not ready to have vendors selling a world class hitman duct taped guns just because I bought some deluxe version. I think its all about choices how you want to make your version of the game.
To be fair to the devs, you get a metric tonne of content, even at full price.
On sale, this is a steal.

Hitman WoA is a bargain considering all the content available for it, just because a game gets old doesn't mean the price must drop, especially when the developer is still releasing updates for it. I know most developers drop the price, but that's because they stop releasing content and stop providing support.

All IOI need to do is look at their sales figures, and as long as those are high enough at the current price, what incentive is there to drop the price?? None. They'll continue to charge whatever the market allows them to charge, just like any other business.

As I said though, Hitman WoA with all its content is huge, 3 games combined into one, with multiple DLC's, multiple campaigns, freelancer, Elusive targets still on rotation, Elusive Target arcade, Escalations, Contracts, Sniper Assassin mode, and on top of that when you look at mission challenges that make every single mission insanely replayable there really isn't anything to complain about when you look at the amount of content you're getting.

Ive just finished the main story after almost 80h. Now I still have all the extra missions, sniper and freelancer. Just mastering each level can take up to 10 hours if you just explore to find all the secrets and stories and practice new strategies to get better times. There's so much content
