Opinion on Peacock Project

This is supposed to keep Hitman: WoA alive should the official servers for the game be shut down.
Has anyone tried it? Anyone can tell an opinion on it?

I used it in HITMAN (2016) and HITMAN 2 (in HITMAN 3/WoA I haven't tried it) and it's exactly what it says, you don't depend on the connection to the iOi servers; playably it is exactly the same and, if you are not bothered by the connection to the official server, there will be no change and Project Peacock would become something to keep in mind for the future.

Still, there are three things that stand out:

- First and least important is the ability to unlock everything from the start, costumes (including ET exclusive costumes), starting points, etc.

- The second would be the possibility to play all the Elusive Targets without time limits or attempts. Although the unlocks do not work properly.

- And the third and most curious thing is that it allows access to DLCs that you have not purchased. For example, in HITMAN 2 I have all the DLCs except for Patient Zero so I can't normally play it, but with Project Peacock it was possible to play it... it was a surprise.

Funny thing is it's not supposed to do that. You're not supposed to gain access to DLC that you didn't pay for when running Peacock.

Oh well, I guess. XD

Well not like it matters since IO took down any option to purchase it, so thanks to peacock we can still access that contnet.

Does anyone know if you can download any custom modded content like escalations, etc?

Yeah, there are entire custom missions for Hitman 3/WoA that you can find on Nexus Mods, most of them require Peacock to work.

I just found out the hard way about Peacock.
Nothing on steam seemed to tell me that I needed peacock to play the bought Deluxe version, so I uninstalled thinking it was broken.
I found a forum that told me I could run a torrented version through it. This worked for three weeks then died when the latest update was released.
So I tried Peacock's discord as a complete bumbling novice. Only then did I learn that I'd ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, when an admin banned from their whole discord.
You don't know what you don't know until you ♥♥♥♥ it up.

I use it all the time, I don't even bother to play freelancer any other ways . The setup on Linux was a bit complicated but totally worth it
