Am I missing something? Hitman 2016 only has six missions?

I played all the Hitman games in the 2000s. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin had like 20 plus missions. So I was shocked when I finally bought and played Hitman WoA Part One, which from what I understand, is Hitman 2016, and it ended so quickly.

I was thinking about buying the deluxe edition for the full game, but from all my research, it looks like it still has less missions than Hitman Silent Assassin in 2002?

Saying there's not much content in those six missions is certainly... a take. Paris and Sapienza are humongous maps with dozens of hours of content each. Marrakesh through Hokkaido are notably smaller, but still a jawdropping amount of stuff to do in each. Hitman 2 and 3 maps are all much larger than Hitman 1's later maps, similar in size of Sapienza or Paris. Some, like Mumbai or Mendoza are far larger than that.

HITMAN 2016 only has 6 maps, yes, but if we refer to missions the number increases to 15 (without counting the escalations).

HITMAN WoA Deluxe would increase the number from 6 maps to 20 (+ 3 Sniper Assassin maps). In this version not only the number of missions increases but also the number of Escalations, Arcade missions and the Freelancer mode is added.

EDIT: Maybe you don't know how to access different missions of the locations, for this you must go to Destinations and choose the map you want to play, there you will see the alternate missions and escalations of each location.

The levels in Hitman (2016) are a new take on the franchise. Each level can be thought of a sandbox to play around in for many hours. If your only goal is to do the story mission then it might actually feel a bit lackluster.

If you want a fun sandbox to do your Hit Manning in however each level is so dense in activities and strategies and little missions it's unlike most other games.

This isn't a new take. This is what the originals were.

The mission count might seem disappointing at first.
But if you are the type to replay the same mission multiple time in different way.
It's actually have about the same if not more content than those 20 missions game.

But ofcourse if you are a one or two time and done type, then I guess this wouldn't be a good thing for you.
