is this game frustrating like hitman 2?

i played hitman 2 back when you could buy it. i couldn't get past the first level because there was almost no way to get to the exit without killing guards even on the lowest difficulty. it told me what to do, but when i actually did what it said i would get spotted every time and die. i tried the tutorial and the same thing would happen, always. is hitman 3 as frustrating as that game?

if you mean on hawkes bay with the 3 guards on the boat escape, you absolutely do not have to kill them. They are tutorial guards trying to teach you how to use lures. There is a car with an alarm right next to them, and there is a huge flare that attracts every guard on the beach in the middle of the map.

You either blow up the car by shooting it til it explodes and then escape while they investigate, or you do the intended solution of shooting the flares in the back of a pickup truck and then crouching in the bushes then crouch walking past the investigating guards.

You can also just open fire on the guards legs, if you land a bunch of gunshots in a row near or on guards they will activate their sniper script and run to the location the bullets where shot from. Just shoot on the beach then go back to the bushes and sneak past them.

Finally, it doesn't really matter if they see you escaping unless you are going for Suit Only Silent Assassin scores.

If you are still having issue then do Hitman 1's ICA Training Facility. It is in the demo.

It's not frustrating at all. Start with the easiest difficulty and work your way up as you learn the mechanics of the game.

The "problem" with Hitman series is they each sort of build off each other and only tell you the bare minimum of how to do things even if you're paying attention.

As supersand said watch some YouTube videos.

Also listen to the in game dialogue. Diana and all the NPCs give you hints. That first mission in Hitman 2 Diana tells youp to shoot the explosive in the back of the truck to lure the guards away from the exit while you use the tall grass to hide and they run past you.

I'm sure there are lots of Hawke's Bay compilations for a 5 star Silent Assassin rating.

There's a part of me that wonders if OP is talking about the 2002 Hitman 2, because that game was legitimately difficult. If not and he's talking about the 2018 game, though... yeah, 100% skill issue. I love every Hitman game (except Absolution), but these latest ones have a crazy amount of handholding on lower difficulties.

no, i mean the 2018 one. yes, it's definitely a skill issue on my part, which game has the most handholding? im going to be 100% honest, ive been studying for the last week and a half for finals and i just want to win in a video game i havent already played, i dont care what it is anymore

It's okay to kill guards on the way in or out if that's what you feel like you need/want to do. This is a puzzle game, but it's also a rather open ended one. There are no right or wrong answers. Be flexible and take every mission as a learning experience. It's okay not to be perfect.

I agree, if you aren't going for 5 stars then it doesn't matter as long as you don't get into extended combat or blow your only / best disguise. And even then you can make the map easier by surviving it and not having to worry about guards in the area (and a little patience letting them get bagged after).

There is a truck near the exit point, you can blow the truck to lure the guards and escape without killing them

Imagine not being able to figure out the first level of HITMAN 2, which is a tutorial. It has dialogue from Diana telling you what to do and a bright green waypoint marker appears on the screen to show you where to go.
