This game crashed

[Hawky For Life]

I've only brought this games like 2 days ago now. I've tried everything's to get to bottom of it. Still no results. FPS claiming to be above 100's and still crashed. Tried lower setting played a little longer then crashed. FSR off tried again. Still crashed. Validated the game recovered files. Still crashed. Tried other many games I've got. Guess what they all rans flawless I thinks it is this game itself need looking into

If you have a modern GPU, this is one of the games that causes high transient power spikes for GPUs for whatever reason. Which causes GPU drivers to crash and sometimes the pc to shutdown. The only way to fix this is to use an ATX 3.0 power supply or higher, or an old PSU with a very high maximum wattage like 1200W. ATX 3.0 PSUs have special features that allow the psu to draw a lot more power for short periods of time which fixes the issue.

must be your pc, i have 177 hours playtime and it never crashed

That's strange because my PSU is ATX 3.0 too. And it is 850watts. If read carefully all other games runs sweets even at max setting on theirs games

The only thing I can thinks of could be hard drive disk as most used NVme M.2 or SSD now days don't they ??

Hmm...only sometimes some mods crash my game when playing Freelancer and that happend only loadscreen in Berlin and Bangkok . Game itself have no issues in here.
Mayby you need to verify gamefiles and also just reinstall drivers.

Edit: sometimes problems with your internet connection can cause game crash that happent to me couple on times with this game.

This game is one of the most unpredictable and unfixable games when it comes to crashing, its pretty much notorious at this point. and the best part is that it only happens to some few people, but still a sizeable amount of players since the devs have a whole tech support team ready on their website for this problem. And it could happen to you within a few minutes of playing or hundreds of hours, but once you start experiencing the crashes it never ends, ever.

There has to be something going on that at least some hardware is sensitive towards, as I said this game causes huge GPU transient power spikes. Which especially AMD GPUs are sensitive towards, causing driver crashes if the psu can't handle them. But there is more going on, maybe a driver level issue introduced by a Windows update.

Doesn't anybody even listened or read what I did say ??? All others heavy AAA games runs well.. Only this game crashed. Am not taking my Brand new systems apart. The only part that is second hand is my GPU that it. Just because one game crashed why should I takes PC apart ???? It happening to someone else too not just me. But have heard Devs who makes Hitman is supposed to be lazy

Yeah that what am trying to point out. My can runs fine for upto 2 hour max then crashed. It shouldn't asked above wattage of GPU if that what Flame were saying. It is an signed of laziness to fix the game

Am on a same boats. Reinstalled GPU drivers etc. One guy said to me reinstalled whole OS while all rest of other games running sweets ??? Why should I wiped everything just for one game ?? Devs need to pull theirs pants up also it must've been a rubbish team not to able to fix it

The thing is, my friend, is that I HAVE an old GPU (gtx 770 4gb) and an old PSU (though not very high wattage, its 650 iirc).
So yeah, just crazy. I am using WIN 10 too, so maybe I will revert back to win 7 to see if it works. I am running the game as admin on win 7 support too! I clear the cache and library files too and it seems to work for SOME time. Even had to use cheatengine (which I have no idea how to use) to replace a "j e" to something that "does nothing" (i found this guide on reddit and it worked for like a few days but then suddenly it wont work anymore!).
This really is the strangest ♥♥♥♥ I have ever seen in all my 20 years of gaming

I think its just unfixable for some of us, sadly. We could try to take the issue to the devs through the support lines but that's the least likely of all possible solutions. I am lucky since I only bought part 1 and spent 3 euros anyway. A real shame since I love the hitman series (fan since blood money).

So the issued is deffo in Part 1 then as that what I've purchased too. Maybe Dev need to start looking in Part 1 problems then

I have never had a crash until I updated my AMD driver to 24.10.1 and now it hardly runs at all without a crash. It happens at any time, but especially when I hit the button to enter the instinct mode. Boom. Black screen and AMD crash reporter comes up. Going to try to roll that back if possible and see what happens. Again, until I updated that, I've had more than 800 hours with no crashes. Now it is unplayable. Cannot finish a single mission.
