Game doesn't recognize RB/RT/LB/LT inputs

See title. The game works fine, but no matter which controller I use, it doesn't accept any inputs on the shoulder buttons.

I tried to verify file integrity, reinstalled the game, used multiple different controllers (wired and wireless), I reset all settings in the game, nothing worked. I can walk around, pause the game, drop and change items, but I cannot do a single shoulder button input, so no aiming, no firing, no throwing objects.

Any ideas?

Does this happen with any other game besides Hitman?

I've had the same problem with RT/LT on my controller with no other games having a problem. Ended up just switching to mouse instead.

Have you tried disabling Steam controller input? Or setting it up with your controller?

8 Bit Do X-ox controller player here, no issues reported. What controller are you using?

Only happened on Hitman 3. I just beat Elden Ring with the same controller, no issues there.

It's also not one specific controller, none of my controllers work. It's super weird.

I tried using an official XBOX Series Controller, a wired PowerA Tiny Tina controller and some other licensed xbox controller.

That's something I could try, didn't think of that.
