Ray Tracing Implementation is Poor
I have a top rig, 4090rtx, 13900k, 32GB DDR5,

on 1440p Max settings,
Bangkok mission,

RTX off : capped at 240FPS and stable

RTX on : unstable FPS 90-170, i even tried locking the fps to 100, there are major stutters, you can see it by going up and down the purple outdoor stair runners in the bangkok starting area,

The RTX clearly hasn't been implemented properly in Hitman. It would've been amazing if it performed seamlessly, similar to other new-gen games.

Ray traced reflections decimate the framerate on even the most powerful machines buddy. You need framegen to have the game be playable on lower end graphics cards if ray traced reflections are turned on.

Try capping it to 60 instead... Your GPU usage will probably drop to about 30-50% and your frame rate will be stable... Or turn RT off, and marvel at how much better everything looks.

I have the feeling that some people actually think that if they buy a top modern high-end PC, they can play everything at maximum without any problems, with virtually no limits.

But that wasn't the case in the past and it won't be like that in the future either. Not least because developers think ahead and incorporate features that are still being developed, or they set values that are so high that even the next 1-2 generations will still have to chew on them.

You also have to understand how the games you want to compare in terms of performance are actually structured. RTX in particular comes in so many variations, precisely because of the performance, and in one game it can lead to completely different results with the same settings, simply because the lighting is different, since it is a different game.

If you then want to have virtually infinite fps as a customer, you'll have problems, no matter what your setup looks like. Precisely because you want the latest of the latest and no number can be high enough, you find yourself in a niche that will never be served in this respect - simply because it is not wanted. (I am not saying this about you, but this is an if-case that refers to the people in question.)

I can only recommend to cap the fps or to try DLSS, and test lower values for some settings to see if it already helps. For example, I play without RTX because I want 60fps and 1440p and, depending on the map, that becomes too unstable with my 2070 Armor and RTX. So it doesn't surprise me that two generations later, it's still being nibbled at if you expect 240fps or something like that.
There is also a ioi website and a steam news article regarding RTX.

Tnx for the detailed comment, its not only about fps, there are stutters, even if the fps is capped to lower levels, on some levels, bangkok entrance stairs are an example

If you're in the Steam beta: Turn Steams new background recording feature OFF. It doesn't like Hitman... Looks like half the frames being reported, are in fact missing... I was playing at 75fps, felt/looked more like 30 until I turned that off.

Same here. I don't know how some people can still defend that. Every other game with ray tracing runs fine but Hitman stutters like crazy.
