Completely Broken Game

This game doesn't launch, even on a high-spec PC. I've spent all day trying out all the methods you could think of but absolutely nothing worked. I even emailed support and we discussed back and forth but in the end they said they would send my case to the developers team and wait for them to fix it, which clearly won't be soon. This has never happened to me with any other game. Completely disappointing.

Is it black screening or just a double click and then nothing? What hardware do you have? Might be able to help if we know a bit more about what's going on. :)

The launcher pops up, but when I press on "play" it crashes.

I recently reinstalled Windows on a completely empty disk. I don’t install pirated software, I even switched to Google Docs instead of pirated Office 365. The computer works great, although my 1080gtx video card is much weaker than yours, Hitman works without problems.

I’ve heard some people formatted their disk to run hitman and it still wouldn’t run, but regardless, I shouldn’t have to format my pc just to run a game!

intel core i5, 1050ti and 16gb ddr4 ram and I'm playing with no issues. The problem isn't the hardware

You should try reinstalling the game imo. There's also a chance that you may need to update windows

I just checked for available updates in windows settings and updated everything and it still crashes

Your system shoulb be clean and lean, its obvious the problem isnt the hardware or the game.
Never heard about formatting the disk to run a specific game.
By "clean disk" I meant a complete reinstallation of Windows, and not an installation over an old version, because in this case some files and settings are retained from the previous version of Windows.

Try this:
- in the steam library, right click Hitman 3
- click properties
- go to the general tab
- scroll to the bottom to the text box called 'launch options'
- enter this exactly "-SKIP_LAUNCHER"

B4 doing that, have to tried to launch the game on low settings and setting Vsync to "on"? Some games crash when the GPU generates too many FPS It could be your case since you have a 4080.

Or maybe download some software like IObit Driver booster and check if there are updates available for drivers.
