Not specifically an upgrade from Part One to the Deluxe Edition, no.
But there is a pack for going from standard to deluxe.

Ehehe - They gotcha - fishing you for the 90% discount and then hitting you with buy the game at full price.
The original Hitman 1 comes with a larger content than H-WoA Part One.
The only drawback is if the OP didn't redeem the legacy pack when was still possible. Otherwise HWoA Part One shouldn't even be listed.
I thought the topic of conversation was H1 and WoA, but hey; the thing is that I don't understand what you mean when you say that HITMAN 2 than WoA as a product because H1 can be played in H2, let me explain...
You say "considering that you could play Hitman 1 in Hitman 2" That's a point of why it's better, I guess, the same as both games do but for some reason H2 it is... better?
"It has improved all the game mechanics and gameplay that makes HWoA Part One a redundant product."
Well, this is strange; First, Part One is redundant, yes, but not as redundant as in H2's The Legacy Pack. This pack was much more confusing and redundant since the only pack that could be bought was this one but then there was another one called "GOTY Legacy Pack", this pack could not be purchased, it could only be obtained if you had HITMAN 2016 GOTY Edition and there were many people who did not know about this and bought the normal pack without knowing that the GOTY version was free or could be easily obtained by having H1 GOTY. This, to me, is more redundant.
Speaking now of HITMAN 2 as a PRODUCT for us, yes, it is much better than HITMAN 3. And there are many reasons for that that it is not necessary to name them all, but some of them are its number of maps, its DLCs (there were even no DLCs that did not come in the GOLD Edition... well, except the Legacy Pack), its progress and evolution both playable and technical much more remarkable than H3, innovative game modes, etc.
H2 improved many things upon H1 so playing H1 locations in H2 is a no brainer. HWoAPO become redundant if you already have H1/H2.
Also, escalations missions in H3 have become a paid DLCs whereas in H1 and H2 they were part of the standard game.
I wouldn't say the extra content in H1/H2 is a trivial matter as you indicated, especially when such content now has been released as paid DLC whereas before was part of the game.
HWoA is possibly the worst release they ever done.
When I said trivial, I didn't mean that its content has little value, it's in the sense that for me it's of little importance compared to the improvements offered by H-WoA and also at that point there was still no mention of H2 so I was only referring to H1.
Not much reason other than i'm looking to get the full WoA, and Part One was extremely cheap. To be clear, i don't care for Part One, I don't want to play it specifically, and I think the business model IOI have chosen for this game is completely awful. I just grabbed it for the discount with the plan to get the upgrade pack as well when i'll consider it will be sufficiently discounted as well. I don't want to pay full price for the game, and even the usual 30$ discount that it sometimes goes for is more than i'd want to give them, just based on the scammy marketing they're running.
As for the reason why i would choose WoA even though i have H1 and H2 is because WoA has all the content of the previous games, with updated graphics and polish. Do note that I haven't played H1 and H2, so for me WoA is a somewhat more attractive proposition because I can experience the whole trilogy in a unified manner.
Also, this is the first time i'm hearing that H1 and H2 are superior to WoA. The general consensus seems to be that WoA is the definitive way to play the trilogy, as the previous games are more rough/outdated.
But out of the three games H2 comes on top as the best product and version they released.
The graphics are better, lightings are better, the content is better, the level design were better, and the price was reasonable. While H3 introduced a new mode 'Freelance', it's still the same locations with a contract mode already available.
I'm personally not a fan of H-WoA as the game was already sold previously as the Trilogy, but I've to admit that I'm very biased in my posting so much so that after I spent a few hours playing H3, I uninstalled and went to play something else.
