PS: I didn't buy it, and I'm just here to warn people about this trap, seeing discussion quite a few people fell for it. Also I didn't own any of the original Hitman 1 games, nor planning to buy it after seeing this odd & shady way of discount

The Standard Edition called just World of Assassination/WoA includes Hitman 1, 2 and 3 maps, except the H2 expansion pass content(New York, Haven Island maps, some bonus missions and sports content) and the other DLCs.
The WoA Part One includes only Hitman 1 maps with the Patient Zero Campaign and some bonus missions.(in the Standard Edition, you get the same thing for H1)
The Part One can also be upgraded to the Standard Edition by buying the WoA Upgrade Pack.
Deluxe Edition is basically the Standard Edition with 3 DLCs(Hitman 2 Expansion Pass, Deluxe Pack and Seven Deadly Sins collection) Deluxe Pack and 7DS Collection are only cosmetics and all of the DLCs can be bought separately.
There is also a comparison grid on the Store Page if you scroll a little bit down.

Instead of clicking on the purchase button straight away, you could have just looked at the contents on the shop page. There is a huge picture that explains exactly what is included and where to buy it. Someone just couldn't see the forest for the trees. (again...)

But they should really add another package for the Part One owners to upgrade with another price because too many people just don't get it. Unless users can purchase the maps individually in-game (no idea)

How exactly is it a scam? You clearly don't know what the word means. The game is included in the Summer sale and they decided to add a -90% discount to the Part One version of the game while the deluxe is -60%. It's a good deal regardless.

I can understand feeling scammed if you expected the full trilogy, but $3 for H1 is pretty good actually considering that it is 6 maps, and the upgrade cost is the same price as just buying normal WoA anyway. Only see the problem if you buy the thing on sale then decide to upgrade later when its not on sale.

The main steam store page shows the Hitman 3 WoA Collection as -90% off. It’s only when you click on it, that you realise it’s only a limited selection of Hitman 1 maps, no VR mode, no Freelance mode.

It’s kind of like when broadband providers say “1000mbps for only $5!” but then you see they include $30 for a router, $25 for line installation, $50 to increase your data allowance etc.

Yeah on the surface it seems like a good deal, but it’s deceptive, that’s why it *feels* like a scam even if people can read on the product page to see the nuance of what they’re actually getting.

The deluxe pack isn't for upgrading from hitman part 1 to deluxe, it's a deluxe pack for hitman 3. The deluxe pack DOESN'T have hitman 3 maps except couple of esculations (which needs base maps), it was made for hitman 3 before the world of assassination rebranding,
hitman 3 has hitman 3 maps, the deluxe pack has hitman 1 and 2 maps. part 1 has 2016 maps. I think to actually upgrade from part 1 to standard you have to go to your dlc tab, click on "HITMAN 3 Access Pass: HITMAN 1 Complete First Season" and scroll down to the "HITMAN World of Assassination Upgrade Pack", which you can't search on the store for. when I bought the game I don't see any options for upgrading to other editions, just the option to buy at full price, I don't know if it discounts it afterwards.

A whole series 75% off at least. I won't spend a dime more for a single player story driven mission scattered game on it's 25% value. That's how I buy games on steam.
