Do you think something similar could happen with Hitman WOA as with The Crew?

Absolution Contract was a main game mode to play still very popular after you finished the story mode. It also had its several DLC contents that were also removed.

It was a defacto what the majority of players were playing - killing the server did kill the game. Absolution never received any patches.

It just died without contract mode.

Depends. I don't think Hitman World of Assassination necessarily would be shut down at least for the next 8-10 years but, there's always a possibility they could stop supporting older delisted games. They could pretty much just shut down the servers for Hitman 1 and 2 standalone games and give any reason like server cost unjustified, titles no longer supported etc.
