challenges, savegame reload, do i lose the exp?

i was wondering if i do a challenge for example, rush to the target with a specific outfit and kill him with a specific weapon, then get the "challenge done" +1000EXP, is the exp instantly gifted, or what?

what if i reload my savegame, is the 1000 exp lost then? or do i have to finish the level to get the challenge exp.

yes, you get it on the fly, saves don't matter

Not sure at what point they are added, but you cannot farm xp by repeating the same challenge over and over again. I often save, do a challenge (like drowning a victim on this map) reload and do another challenge (like using the sniper to kill the same victim) because it is much fatser. No need to always start from the beginning.

Youll be fine for exp, keep reloading saves to get them done easier, i didnt notice this until i had already mastery 20 paris and sapienza

unless the challenge says "complete the mission", it will unlock immediately after doing it. You can quit out after you see the popup for it. You will informally get rewards from it added to your inventory but you won't get a formal notification for it until you complete that map.

You can also do this to get non-SA challenges 'completed' on a SA run since it will still count those challenges on the score screen next time you complete that map. It doesn't really do anything but can be funny.
