Unlocking Hitman 2 content?

I have Hitman 2016 with all the DLCs, I also have Hitman 2 with all the DLCs, all on steam. I just bought the Hitman 3 bundle that comes with the pass for the Hitman 2016 content. My question is does owning the previous games unlock their content in the later games (I seem to remember that was the case but may be mistaken), or is the only way to get access to the Hitman 2 content to buy the pass?

ok, thank you. It's a shame and I thought that would be the case, I guess I'll have to by the unlock pact for Hitman 2 at some point then.

Seems this has already been mostly resolved, but for some additional clarity:

- When Hitman 3 first released, connecting the accounts for H2 and H3 on the IOI site allowed access to H1/H2 content owned in H2 within the H3 program.
- 2 years after release, Hitman 3 was combined with the content of H1/H2 to become the "World of Assassination" complete set. At this point, H1/H2 were delisted from most stores and the content transfer server and service was shut down. After this point, purchasing Hitman 3's base game included everything from H1/H2 except for the two H2 expansion maps. (If you did not transfer licenses or buy the DLC versions before this, you would have to re-purchase the game to get the content.)
- Recently, a new option was added to the Steam version of the game that only includes the H1 maps. No idea why.
