HITMAN World of Assassination

Suppliers having very tiny window of interaction
most notably the top floor one in Dartmoor.
When that annoying maid leaves, the supplier has to relocate, talk the (entirely unnecessary) line, and THEN I can interact. By that time the maid has returned.

Seriously how could nobody noticed this and found this extremely annoying before?

Subdue the maid

The actual worst Supplier spawn is in Jordan Cross' studio. There's a bodyguard who comes right up to him, and is an enforcer for the bodyguard disguise. As the world doesn't stop when you're shopping, he can come from behind you and compromise you. You have to get the crew outfit to shop here, which means you cannot get the supply crate in the recording studio without hassle as there's a crew enforcer at the studio door

yeah I was 0.5 pound trigger pressure away from doing so, were it not that I managed to use the supplier on the second window.

as for Jordan Cross, I don't play Bangkok anyway so...

Yeah, I wish you could interrupt suppliers during their dialogue to skip straight to the menu. Sometimes you can catch them before they start, but it's a split second window. You frequently don't have the luxury of standing still for 10 seconds if the supplier is in a trespassing zone or if enforcers are about.

As for that maid in Dartmoor, I highly encourage her to take a nap break with the nearby clothing iron. If she really annoys me, she gets a silenced .45 caliber sleeping pill between the eyes. Frequent breaks for staff are important and I will enforce that by any means necessary.

Lol, down with the workers, fight for their rights.

The one in Dartmoor is just as described, but still usable even with everyone still awake and breathing.

oh and, another reason why I don't want to kill/subdue the maid is because she has the important job to distract the enforcer in the corridor when I am leaving. Yes I can bust through before the enforcer is triggered but... it just feels safer you know?

That is a good point and I actually remembered that after I made the comment. What I usually do is I lure him into the same room, enforce some nap time, and hide him in the same closet as the maid. Let their employers come up with their own conclusions about what they were doing in the closet during business hours. It's that guy's fault for having a photographic memory of everyone who works at the mansion.

Ok and here's the problem: I need that closet for a target...
I mean sure if I'm not killing anybody on the third floor that could work...

At that point you just leave the guard in the room with the supplier since nobody goes in there other than the maid. Leave her in front of the closet but not in it, then open the door from the supply room to the hallway to lure the guard in. Once he's out, drag her back into the room with him so you can use the gramophone or whatever to distract the target into that side area. Normally you won't need to go through the trouble of dragging bodies back and forth like this, but I'm assuming you're talking about if you've got a "hide target bodies" objective in Freelancer and need both spaces in that closet.

Now if you've got hide target bodies and it's a showdown and you can't afford to have any uncloseted bodies in case one gets spotted during a meeting... then I'd do the target first and hide them there, then closet the maid with him, and then leave the guard in the supply room.

If you had silent assassin objective on top of all that and don't want to risk a wondering suspect or lookout pathing through the area, then I'd suggest skipping the supplier on that run or just put up with the maid's interruptions while you shop.
