How can someone finish a mission in 10-seconds?
I am currently playing the Demo thinking about buying the game and noticed on the leader board that a user completed the Dubai mission in 10-seconds. Is that even possible? I managed to get my time down to about 4 minutes, 10 second seems impassible. Are they using cheats? I thought the always online prevented cheating?

this game doesn't have any form of anti cheat, always online doesn't mean no cheating

Dubai can be completed in 4 seconds without any cheats. All you need is some creativity, and to know how the game works behind the scenes.

SA/SO can be achieved on Dubai in 8 seconds, again, with some trickery.

Even without the inventory timing tricks used in the video linked above, Dubai is pretty easy to get under 30 seconds if you have all the entrance options and tools unlocked. Start from security guard, flash grenade the security office, shoot both targets and leave by elevator will get you in the 20-30 second range even without using any special speed runner tricks shown in the video above.

Here's a method almost anyone can pull off with practice, I think my time is around 20 seconds using this, frote's a little faster on the throw than I am:

Dubai is definitely the fastest mission in the game, but there's quite a few that can be done in under a minute, and I think everything but the train can be done in less than 2.

I've never seen them say this. I'd post names but it isn't allowed, there's been a known guy posting 0 second completions dating back to Absolution in 2012 and he had the top slot at 0 in all the latest hitman games as well despite the always online. They've changed the way the leaderboards display scores so that it can't display a 0 second completion anymore and ignores the most obviously cheated ones that have the timer stopped completely.

Beyond that, I don't think they have any cheat protection at all, only the setting to ignore 0's. And that setting wasn't added until Hitman 3, because both Hitman (2016) and Hitman (2018) had 0 second completion ratings on the leaderboards from the same guy that was doing it back in 2012 in Absolutions boards.

Anyway, the best thing to do if you care about scores is not just look at the times but also look people up by name. All the legit speedrunners that you might find in the leaderboards post video completions proving it. Frote7, Mendietinha, Housen, just to name a few.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst was the same and there's no way to do a run that covers half the map in 2 seconds without cheating. It's not like the leaderboards are actually competitive anyway, you don't get anything for being #1.

some maps can be done in only a few seconds
but alot of others cannot and therefore the guy at the top of the leaderboard has hacked it like that, likely a mod that makes every target poison kill and you already spawn by the exit so trigger that and boom 8 second SASO run

Yeah, I looked back on some stuff on HMF and Twitter, I don't think they explicitly said that it's always-online to prevent cheating, but I think it was some narrative that was revived back when H3 was released and the server issues were prominent. I'll delete that part.

Incredibly weird, but possible without even cheating.
Just go on youtube and you will see by yourself.
