Is there a way to 'unlock all' for maps?
Before someone says "just play the :warlord:game" for Hitman 1 and 2 I had unlocked a lot but now I can see the progress is gone in Hitman 3 for the previous campaigns. I am not really interested in grinding all missions back up and would like to know if there is anything I can do here?

Cheers :warlord:

You could have transfered your progeress, but if you do that now, you will undo all the stuff you did in H3

Maps aren't locked, you can already play them all; just go to destinations and pick one.

I'm not confused, I choose to take things literally. If he wants to ask about mastery, he can word it correctly.

Sorry so you just choose to be mean, instead of just keeping shut.

You chose to be rude instead of just keeping shut. I gave an accurate response with factual information.

There's nothing I can say on steam forums other than facts without being warned for it, but now that I give nothing but facts these are the responses I get.

And you're choosing to be pedantic.

And you're choosing to derail the thread to talk about me instead of the thread topic.

I see you here in these forums a lot and usually have helpful advice. In this case, it was obvious from context that the OP was referring to mastery levels but either couldn't remember the term or did not know it. They claimed it was something they did in Hitman 1 and 2, but you didn't have to "unlock" maps in those games, either. However, you did unlock items, starting locations, and stashes within those maps.

You failed to recognize the signs that they were talking about mastery and instead of acknowledging your part in the miscommunication you doubled down and put all the blame on the OP's imprecise language. It was precise enough for an attentive person to gather their meaning. You are a very smart person who knows a lot about this game and made a tiny mistake about what the OP was asking about. Claiming that you need precise language in order to understand people is just being obtuse. People are only calling you out for being so defensive about this.

@5050 Like the first reply said, there's an option on IOI's website for you to do a one-time progression carryover from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3. I remember it being a bit of a hassle but I managed to figure it out. You need to make an account there and then connect your steam account to it. I mistakenly assumed that I already had an IO account from Hitman 1 and 2, but it needs to be specifically made for their current main website. Not everything carries over, but it does keep track of your mastery unlocks. You can Google "Hitman 2 import" or just follow this link https://profile.hitman.com/

I understood it just fine, it had also already been answered. Thanks for making assumptions and not grasping the context, or the point.

Lady Neravin had already answered the mastery question, no one else, including you needed to answer it again and again.

I chose to respond to the literal question. You claim you can recognize what he meant, and yet you can't understand me.

i dont think theres anything else you can do other than grind. maybe you'll find that you discovered an entirely different route on each mission.

So let me get this straight: You understood what the OP wanted to know and felt that the question had already been answered. Instead of remaining silent or expanding on the answer, (like HOW someone transfers their progress) you decided to derail the topic and vent about a pet peeve of yours by intentionally answering a question you know they didn't ask? Not everyone eats, sleeps, and breathes this game and knows all the terminology.

Also some people don't play this game in english, so if they translate terms they might not be the same as they are in the game.

It may only work if the game is offline, but there is a mod to unlock everything.

Just to clarify things. The OP posted this:
Is there a way to 'unlock all' for maps?
Unlock all for maps, not unlock all maps. So you didn't take things literally, you just took it incorrectly.
