Is WoA really worth the purchase?

I already have both HITMAN 1 and 2 Gold so was there at least an engine upgrade? Because even at ~$40 on sale WoA is going to be near impossible to sell me.

i put in hundreds of hours into this game and i've owned h1 and h2 since release

Again, I bought H3 before WOA but paid basicly the same I would pay now.

And WOA has a good price WITHOUT sale for people who don't own any of the included content. 70 € for (the content of) three AAA games is a banger

If you want to play H3 (WoA) maybe you can consider taking advantage of Epic discount voucher.

But even with the Epic discount you might end up be disappointed by H3 in comparison to H1 and H2.

H3 doesn't offer nothing new, not even the Freelance mode which is another play of Hitman contracts.

A different game would be a better choice.

I think a lot of confusion comes from the branding. Hitman WOA isn't a multi-game bundle where you're buying Hitman 1 + 2 + 3. You're buying just Hitman 3, but Hitman 1 GOTY and 2 are now included for free.

I mean, you're partially right, but I have just decided that it's not worth the money to buy H3 when I still have H2:G that does for the most part everything I want and i'm tired of buying the same game repeatedly over 5 years

This can be affirmed by all the negative reviews on the H2 DLC that must be purchased (unless you were a H3 early adopter) and the way they are selling a lesser H3 that doesn't have H2 levels in it but is currently not discounted. I feel that would be the way for me to go, if they discounted it and also gave me access to the same maps in H3 that I already paid for in H1:G and H2:G (in this case multiple times already, again)

All i feel is apathy for this IP and maybe that will change in 5-8 years when H4 comes out and maybe I will have forgotten this continuous shafting

Now you're 100% wrong there. Before Jan 26 2023 you would get access to all content you paid for prior. You would get the map access added in 3 with location importing. I'm all for ala carte map purchases but I just dont see a reason to even bother with WoA when I already have H2:G fully loaded, and part of their "big draw" is playing all the prior hitman maps in an updated engine.

Also DLSS/FSR is a crutch that gaming companies are leaning too hard on

No, he's right. You seem to have missed that he's saying that anyone who didn't own anything would have had to have paid more. You can't import locations from something you don't own.

Before the WOA update, you could import your Hitman 1+2 content (as the access passes) into the 3 demo using their website. I posted about it in the weeks leading up to the release, and helped a bunch of folks get them added to their Steam accounts, expecting Io to give us a discount for owning the games.

Once the game launched, they killed that feature.
