Maybe you have to spam the instinct button or hold it too long or something? I am guilty of both.
I think we have different issues then. I've played through several levels and this is persistent.
There are transitional effects that simulate your eyes adjusting to the lighting change of an area.
I am not sure if that is what you are experiencing but maybe something is bugged and its happening when it shouldn't or its happening in specific areas of maps or whatever.
Something as simple as changing camera angle in some lighting situations can trigger the effect if I remember correctly.
You can try turn it off by lowering graphics settings, I dont know if its something that can be turned off but that's where I would start if this is the case.
Yes that it exactly what I'm talking about, as I mentioned in the original post. I definitely happens when it's not supposed to. Even when I'm not touching the keyboard or mouse. With the camera completely still. I've tried settings juggling many o' several times. Before posting, I tried every possible option as well as updating my gpu drivers.
