Lighting goes dark randomly

I've got this problem where the lighting goes dark, just as if i'm entering a dark room and the eyes adjust slowly and making the lighting slowly go back to normal again. It's somewhat random, happening periodically both outdoor and indoor even while standing completely still. Anyone know a fix?

This coincidentally just happened to me. Was outside and properly lit and all of a sudden: fade to superdark. And back to normal a few seconds later.

I wonder what makes it happen. It happens so often for me that I find it unplayable. It's such an oppressive effect.

I have this often happen after turning instinct off. I think its related to the color change effect with instinct not properly switching and it just fades the whole screen to black slowly and then recovers to normal. I got no idea how to trigger it thou other then it happens sometimes when turning instinct off.

Maybe you have to spam the instinct button or hold it too long or something? I am guilty of both.

happens to me when i load a save while in a dark area, it does fix itself but can take a few seconds

Hi, thanks for the suggestion but I don't use instinct and it happens constantly. Every 5-10 seconds, but sometimes it takes more time.

I think we have different issues then. I've played through several levels and this is persistent.

well if you have one where you are outside and it looks like night when its meant to be day it can help others see if its the same issue theyre having

The entire screen goes dark, and then slowly goes back to normal. This happens every 5-10 seconds, repeating randomly. A single screenshot won't help you if you can't visualize this.

I think you are talking about how the game darkens the screen with lighting when you are going from a well lit area to a dark one.

There are transitional effects that simulate your eyes adjusting to the lighting change of an area.

I am not sure if that is what you are experiencing but maybe something is bugged and its happening when it shouldn't or its happening in specific areas of maps or whatever.

Something as simple as changing camera angle in some lighting situations can trigger the effect if I remember correctly.

You can try turn it off by lowering graphics settings, I dont know if its something that can be turned off but that's where I would start if this is the case.

Yes that it exactly what I'm talking about, as I mentioned in the original post. I definitely happens when it's not supposed to. Even when I'm not touching the keyboard or mouse. With the camera completely still. I've tried settings juggling many o' several times. Before posting, I tried every possible option as well as updating my gpu drivers.
