If you play through the end she wasn't killed, her death was faked.
There is no new timeline, you're literally shown that the other games happened during the cut scenes between the prologue (which takes place before the other games) and the beginning of the current campaigns (before paris)
It's all one timelime, this game simply includes time from before and after the other games and then shows you scenes from ALL of the others to show they existed in between.
The whole game is fake (let alone 47) - wouldn't be so concerned about it.
Edit: Oh, . . . but the blood in the shower was real :)
