Need help controller triggers not working

Hello i'm having an issue with my controller while playing the game my trigger buttons stopped working while i was in the middle of a level please i need help

Edit 1: my controller works in other games
Edit 2: all the other buttons work except the triggers they work in other games its only this game
Edit 3: Testing the steam controller mapping now to see if their is an issue remapped LT & RT to be the bumpers I found out some how aiming and shooting/ trigger functions are disabled some how WHY???

It could be your controller itself. Check in Windows Gamepad application to see if it's there.

Type gamepad or game controllers in windows search.

I have exactly the same issue with my XBOX 360 Wired controller.
The controller and other games DO NOT have any issue with LT and RT
Steps tried so far:

1. Switched to XBOX 360 Wireless controller in same PC. No Joy
2. Switched to XBOX Wireless controller with BT on same PC. No Joy
3. Switched to WIRED USB-C mode on XBOX wireless controller. No Joy
4. Uninstalled Steam(It removes the whole library! Why?!!) Reinstalled. No Joy
5. Removed ALL controllers from DEVMGMT.MSC and forced reinstall of all controller H/W. No Joy
6. Toggled the "Enable Steam INput for XBOX Controllers to ON" No Joy
7. Clicked on "Install" on XBOX Extended Feature Support. Rebooted. No Joy
8. Tried to raise a ticket with developer at https://ioisupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. The page never loads! Abandoned support by developer for such a hit game?
9. Cannot find if its a know issue for the series by referencing https://ioisupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019127718-HITMAN-3-Known-Issues. As the page never loads.
10. The game works on my laptop and other desktop PC with SAME controllers and Steam Account.
The issue cropped up on my son's PC recently(post 15th March 2024). I had dangled this carrot over him to let him play after his exams. So more painful then it should have been.
I have tried all troubleshooting steps on various reddit forums and MS support pages, but no resolution as yet.

P.S. The resetting of Controller/Keyboard configs to default was my first step in game UI, so thats already tried

unfortunately not I just stopped playing the game due my hand issues I only can play with controller due to wrist issues and with no fix I've Just stopped playing and haven't had any intentions of retying to see if i can get it fixed

Go to the controller profile in steam on the game page and make sure the template has the official hitman layout and even if it does reload it again. This fixed my issue, I had it on two different computers.

Ive tried this 100 times and all other things. It just wont work..
