ever tried shooting someone without killing them?
Tested it out and it didn't break SA as long as you dont get spotted thankfully. Pretty much the only way to pull it off I think without some kind of big distraction or remote emetic device
There's 3 surveillance recorders on the island, all of them can be shot from a distance without touching anyone inside the rooms, the one in the villa can even be shot from outside the room through the window. You don't need to touch any of the guards, ever. The outpost can be shot from the backdoor and then you leave, the underground can be shot from the scaffolds above it and then leave.
Beyond that, if you wanted to do it without shooting the recorder, the emp device has a range and can be used through walls; you only need to throw or place it near a recorder to destroy it from the other side of a wall.
You also have numerous ways to put people to sleep, not just sick. In freelancer the chloroform flask is area effect, and in the normal game there's the gold brick device, not to mention various poisons / dart guns. Putting non-targets to sleep does not break SA (but sleeping a target does)
Ho ho ho...there's neat trick to do that. You just shoot from the outside of the room. Easy, right?
