Freelancer mode is too hard
I am frustrated, it is too hard. I do few missions and i die then and all is lost. What is the point. And guns are so expenssive i cant afford silenced gun. Well looks like i am not so good in that game.

in this mode, you'll LOST big... but you DONT win big (instead of what announced).

devs need to push up the money win from contracts, and low down some prices that are unfair and absurd.

I managed to get 45k at some point...I bought a weapon for 20k, another one for another 20k...but I didn't think you can't transport more than 1 in a suitcase! So I ended up leaving one in that level...What a shame!
you can leave with one on your back, though it will be illegal if you don't have a guard disguise, alternatively, you can leave one of the briefcases at the exit you want to take, provided there's no npcs there to take the weapon/briefcase away, and pull it out of the briefcase to put on your back just before you leave.

Sometimes I can't finish a mission, because I have to stop the game and do real life stuff. This game mode isn't for me if I can't take breaks. It seems neat, but real life is more important.
The game can be paused, regardless of the mode used. I do not know your RL stuff, maybe you are required to close out the game anytime you leave the computer, or something like that, then that sucks. Just expect like an hour or more of playtime when doing anything that isn't just the story missions, as those are the only things you can save the game on. There is something called the "peacock project" but I can't really offer any advice on it, as I haven't used it.

Sorry I can't offer more help.

I had to get 2 long weapons out of a round once on ambrose island which really sucked because by default I think you get only the one exit point... BUT - I dropped one weapon on the ground right in front of the seller and took the briefcase back to the exit area and took the gun out off to the side where nobody walks or would see it and dropped it. Then took the briefcase back to the seller and grabbed the other one, put it in the briefcase, and ran back. Back at the place where I dropped the first one, I can put the dropped one on my back and even though the gun on my back was illegal, I could still make it to the exit without the eruption of chaos.

I had blown my cover as a pirate, I believe. I don't remember why I couldn't just sling the gun in the right disguise, but that's not important. Sometimes you don't have the option and you just have to work with what you get - like having to keep picking up a bat and throwing it to an exit until you can get away with it. Had to do that too.

And some weapons, like the bat, can't be put in a briefcase once they are taken out.

Could have been a sniper rifle. Those are usually illegal for just about anyone to carry openly.

Yeah, I could have done that...I could've done various things, but I didn't bother too much, and I lost 20k for my lazyness.

I bet it was a sniper plus some assault rifle. I was trying to buy up all the stuff from the seller so they would eventually get to the el matador pistol. I can usually figure out how to get illegal weapons back to an exit, but it can be a challenge sometimes. I bet I was in my normal suit though cause I am usually not blown when I change out of that. Changing back into it helps escape unnoticed, unless you have to sling a weapon.

I don't really remember the situation though, just what I did to get them out.

Thanks for offering help, I also have to flush my dns to connect to online everytime I play Hitman 3, sometimes I have to do it twice. So, I think I'd lose whole campaign if I dc'd on a contract too. It just feels such a waste of time to lose stuff on technical issue.

I like that there is a "Hardcore" mode. I just wish that there was a mode that didn't care if player had to alt-f4 because of real life stuff or connection issues. I don't mind failing cause of death or objective fail like old Elusive Target missions.

Oh well. There's still lots to see in the game.

You win big at the end of every showdown and if you with the full campaign is even bigger.

Sooner players learn to kill, sooner will be possible to finish a full campaign easily.

Killing or kill stealthy is the best way to finish a campaign.

If you have fear of lose money, for now ignore side/prestige quests and simple concentrate yourself to learn how to kill(stealthy or not) and finish the full campaign.

Search way to simple directly kill the targets.

You can even kill the target in front of him run away and get different disguise, if nobody see you changing it(or killed all people see you), you can get away and continue the mission easily.

For showdown is a bit more tricky because syndicate leader escape if you alert a sentinel, so you must play a bit more stealthy, but killing all the witness work here too if you pay attention to not get caught by a sentinel.

After you learn how to do this things, you will simple drown in money, even by simple completing campaign without doing side/prestige quests.

When i stopped playing i was a bit more high of 1,5 million, i haved stopped doing side/prestige quests because i was doing challenge and i have losed various time.

Devil Duck is my default "plan b" in freelancer. And if the target picks it up, you can just casually walk to the exit before triggering it for an easy escape
That and the exploding phone, just remember if your cover is blown to trigger the thing before making a break for the plane exit in Sapienza.
Those soldiers are very rude and refuse to stop shooting you while waiting for the target to answer the phone. :Embarrassed_GS:

Oh yeah, the exploding phone is really great. You leave it in front of the target and then you run near an exit! Sooooo good.

one of the mission have 4 target potential (blue target at the end of campaign)

2 of them were almost identical and did exact same scheme... couldn't determine wich one was the real one...

i decide to kill one... wrong one, result with ending the mission with 0 credits. Even tho i killed the second one (good one), i still got nothing at the end. 0 credit (Munes, or whatever name it use).
That doesn't make senses... even if we kill a bad target, we should be able to get the reward at the end if we kill the good one after.

i dont know if this on all platform, i m on xbox. But the ending is extramly hard to me because three is always 2 NPC that look absolutly identical, doing the exact same stuff (for exemple, reading, drinking, allergy etc.) and...on top of that... thoses both npc are always well hidden, protected, and have the dot on their head (can recognize me).

that's nice as i already from beginning know wich one are my rel targets, but they are always 2 clones... -_-

Can you tell me more about the sentinels (lookouts)? Do they get alerted when seeing bodies on the ground? Even accident kills? So you can't let anyone see any bodies?

Only one of them will do exactly the things listed. The other might be missing a tattoo, a hat, or drinking when drinking is not listed.
I believe suspects become enforcers (have the dot on their heads) if you fail one of the previous missions, so they are 'alerted' to you.
white2k Mar 6, 2023 @ 5:22am
Ok, final shodown: 9 suspects in Mendoza, all located in crowded areas...wth do I do??

no no , they did do exact same patern.
and they do have dot on their head even if i succeed the previous missions.
this seems to concern every target, may it be a citizen, race driver, bodyguard etc.. the target always have a dot.

i also noticed for whatever reasons... game seems to randomly make things alots more difficult (as it's not enoutgh already) by adding random assassin or random "watcher" just near me even if i am at a mile away from the target. (theses dudes are on alert mode "dot" and litteraly search for me, going on spot that no others npc are going. they also instantly alarm the target if they catch me (yellow detect))

attract 1... kill it, then use the phone to call the otehrs on a hidden spot. (but careful, they will all come together)

Yeah, normally I would do that...but how the heck can I attract one of them? They are all super allerted!

I could try sniping all 9 of them, but it's pretty risky. If I don't get the leader and the leader manages to escape...
