Perfect Shooter / Eliminate Guards - Assault Rifle. How am I supposed to shoot one shot with an AR?

If I tap the shoot button 2 shots come out of an AR? How am I supposed to shoot one shot with an AR? Is there a trick for this or is this another one of IOI's inability to create proper challenges?

If I headshot a guard the first shot kills and the second shot will whiff, causing a failed Perfect Shooter challenge.

1. You aren't expected to be able to do all the bonus challenges every time, sometimes you have to pick which ones you're going to do and which ones to skip. This is by design.

2. Some of the AR fire single shots, there's even a firing range you could test them on before leaving for the mission.

Perfect shooter allows body shots, and doesnt care if the npc in question is knocked out or not.

took Perfect shooter & Kill the target at Tell moment challenges, used Shotgun & shot at his head.
Kill the target at Tell Prestige challenge completed successfully but Perfect Shooter failed, Guess every pellets in a Shotgun shot counts if a pellet miss then Perfect Shooter mission fails.

Yea, you would have to body shot at close range to maybe get all the pellets to hit.

The best way to get perfect shooter is just to use melee weapons.
