Always online is the best anti piracy method.
I will prefer to see always online alot more around even in singleplayers, instead risking on denuvo.
How can doesn't work?
Is always online, pirates can't simple crack them.
Always online is a better solution compared to denuvo which potentially can create performance problems if bad implemented.
As for Denuvo, it doesn't work to stop them... only delays, the length of which seems to be down to each individual game.
Always online means players must use Developers/publisher servers, isn't something people can bypass.
Always online is a needed thing and is a good thing to be added to singleplayer too.
As the saying goes, ignorance is bliss and in my limited experience, that is quite often true.
Edit:For clarity.
Seems more an excuses.
The fact people complaining so much for this type of protection always reinforce the need of it.
IO interactive have done the right choice to use a type of always online.
I know not the same but I can understand where you are coming from.
I haven't really heard/seen anyone 'wanting' always online if that is what you meant?, So I defer to your knowledge on that one.
I am not saying IO shouldn't do anything to stop it, merely that the things that are done are simply stopgaps and do not work long term unfortunately.
Like Denuvo, it seems that it is legit gamers that end up being affected more than the people they are aiming it at.
I see many saying like excuse they have isp problems or similar to justify the removal of always online.
hard to not think is simple an excuse.
Better have a stopgaps not create performance problems like always online than denuvo which potentially have problems for players.
IO interactive have done the right choice in protecting their games.
