Low FPS
[FIXED] There seems to be an issue with the last 2 NVIDIA drivers causing both HM3 and Elden Ring to not utilize my GPU and run horribly. I installed version 528.02 and both games are running perfect, crossing my fingers they don't crash from an older driver but so far so good

Specs:
i5 9600k
GTX1060
16gb Ram

I will try to give as much info as possible and also try to keep this short, Ive owned Hitman 3 for a long time along with 1 & 2. Last time i played was a few months back and decided to try to get back into it, i have over 40 hours played with my current setup and ran the game on mostly med setting and would get around 90 fps last time i played HM3. Now the game runs horrible max im getting 45 frames and it drops down to 20 in populated areas with the same settings. If I set the settings to the bare minimum im barely getting 50 fps, I have changed nothing from the last time I played to now in terms of hardware

Things ive tried:
Updating Drivers
Verify Game Files
Update/Repair DX

Ill try reinstalling the game later just wanting to try some other fixes if anyone has ideas?

- Reinstate the shader cache
1. Navigate to %localappdata%/IO Interactive/HITMAN3
(Windows key + R, then insert path above)
2. Delete PipelineCache and PipelineLibrary

- Turn off Nvidia Reflex (Graphic options ingame)

- If activated, turn off DLSS image super sampling - it may cause a memory leak at the moment. Stay away until a patch for it comes out, or try FSR! (Graphic options ingame)

- Turn off anything RTX-related, it may be enabled by the default after the update. (Graphic options ingame)

- Sacrifice three black goats on the top of Mt. Everest (Himalaya)

Good luck, hope it works out!

FYI for OP, per above comment relevance to your setup - Reflex, DLSS and Raytracing (RTX) options won't (or at least shouldn't) appear in settings for you.

Since you don't have an RTX GPU. Reinstalling game may help.

You may be correct, RTX is only enabled from 1060/6GB onwards, but I was unsure which graphic card variant OP had, so I included it anyways, in case you see those options - or DLSS 2. You should definitely be able to find Reflex, though. :Ashhat:

After further testing, Reinstalling the game, changing settings in bios, settings in NVIDIA control panel, Doing a clean boot, Swapping my 1060 for my 1050 ti and still nothing.

I have noticed the game is not utilizing my GPU at all, my CPU sits around 60 % and my 1060 would reach 20% and the 1050 ti didn't go above 10% same fps each time. In the launcher settings i made sure each time my GPU is selected and i don't even see an option for integrated graphics in both the launch and NVIDIA control panel as i turned it off in bios.

Buy a new PC. It really isn't meant for playing such hardware demanding games

I never understand why you people don't read anything in a thread and comment, like stated its fixed and i'm now getting 90 -100 fps and it was due to driver problems. please educate yourself before commenting

at the time it was the latest NVIDIA driver that was causing problems for this game and some others for me, as of recent I haven't really played the game but id assume the driver problem has been fixed by now so idk if downgrading will help you, if your having a problem, I did try to play not to long ago but the game is fully crashing for me now and im to lazy to troubleshoot whats going on but its prob something stupid on my end like some corrupt files and just needs a reinstall...who knows lmao

- Sacrifice three black goats on the top of Mt. Everest (Himalaya)

Worked, getting 165+ FPS

A similar problem here. The game is only using 20-30% of my RTX 3060. At certain times, it drops to less than 20fps. Completely messed up.

On average AMD release one driver a month, personally when updating my driver I uninstall the driver through Windows and run DDU in safe mode before installing a newly released driver, I have always done this and never had a single issue in relation to display drivers.

I have a 5800X3D, RX 7800 XT and 32GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM.

At native 1440p, max/ultra settings with full ray tracing and FSR off I get a rock solid 142 fps. (frames limited to 142 through the AMD driver)
